  1. Hey Buick14 PM me with your loction. I work for a company that distributes the containers you are looking for.
  2. Here is a link to the phone I use and never need to worry about it getting wet or droping it. Check out the website. I have abused (I meant owned) this phone for 6 months and it is rugged. http://www.sonimtech.ca/products/xp5520bolt.php It is made by Sonim and offered by Bell. Rogers also carries a different phone by Sonim. I know it doesn't have all the fancy apps of I phone or crackberry, but if you play or work in rugged conditions.....nothing beats it. By the way... I am in no way affiliated with Sonim, just love the product
  3. I've had a Lund Pro Guide 16 with an 80 horse Yami for 11 years. Great boat with an awsome layout. The torque on the motor isn't nearly as much as one would think. On plane, i can easily stear with two fingers. Power trim is a must. I have a trim button on the floor that is very easy to operate. Good luck on your search
  4. No kidding Skipper. Maybe they should look to that guy to figure out why their firefighting budgets are out of whack
  5. There are alot of problems with the bill this guy got. And Rich is right. Who is the authority that called the ice unsafe. All ice is unsafe. Roads are unsafe, schools are unsafe. Safety is a matter of judgement. Judgements based on past history, experience, research and how prepared you are to deal with an emergency. If this guy is forced to pay the bill, what recreational activity will be next?
  6. you guys remeber the retired school principal who fell through the ice after being disoriented on Lake Scugog. Here's what he gets to deal with now. http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2013/01/30/stranded_scugog_ice_fisherman_first_to_be_charged_for_fire_department_rescue_539278.html We can all say what we want about people making poor decissions about unsafe ice conditions. We all have our own level of safety based on our own experiences or observations. I for one don't think a user fee for 911 services is right. The man's life was in peril. Regardless of how he got there, there was a need for it. Could the same argument not be made for hundreds of other leisure activities that incorperate some level of risk. From skiing to hiking, swimming or snowmobiles. All of these activities are an unnecessary part of life that incorperate danger. Will these activities be next on the list for user fees.
  7. For all of us who recently gave up the lung darts. Think of how much money we`ve saved for the finer things in life. Day 28 and $380 in my pocket. The fishing gear could get a serious overhaul this year.
  8. How about several strands of fiberglass insulation to simulate tiny water fleas. Could wrap them around your favourite downrigging outfit and show the kids how hard it is to real up a big Lake O Chinny. or Glue several layers of small pebbles on the inside of a 4" abs pipe. Could simulate the effect zebra muscles have on our industrial and drinking water intake pipes.
  9. Absolute biggest thing with a manual auger. Never ever bang them on the ice. Damage the blade or the angle they cut at and it's game over. You will melt the ice faster than you cut it. Finbore has also been a great auger for me.
  10. Guess I've been told. I will also ensure my gramar is correct. At least until I have 500 posts. Did not mean to offend anyone. My comment could have been worded differently and simply meant that if we argue the merits of fish having feelings but we continue to pursue them with sharp hooks for our selfish pleasure.........aren't we being a bit of a hypocrite.
  11. Sorry but there may be room on P3TA's sight for comments like this
  12. Me and the Mrs. are going Saturday. We want to check out deals on either the Lund Impact 1875 or Crestliner Raptor 1850 Don't want to start a debate on welded vs rivets but I am interested in peoples opinion on various marinas located in Southwestern ON. I'm located in Kitchener and would prefer to buy from a dealer within a 2 hour radius. PM's are welcome so as not to advertise or bash any particular dealer. Thanks, Chris
  13. Would love to get into to some slabs like that. Something about enticing crappie into hitting a jig that I love. Can only find stunted minitaure crappie in my neck of the woods.
