    I'm sure this topic has been discussed many many times on this forum but everytime there is a big lottery winning I always think 'If I won, where would my dream cottage be?' First I thought Kearns lake. A little 600 ha lake that is fly in only out of Thunder Bay. I would build my own cottage. Then I thought 'only walleye and pike. No good'. So I thought 'Lake of the woods' and I would constantly fly up. Then I thought, maybe Simcoe? Or Quinte? Now I'm not sure anymore. How about you? If you could build 1 dream cottage, what body of water would it be on?

    The starting pitching has me so worried. I love Stroman but if he or Estrada lays an egg (even if its just a one year blip on an otherwise stellar career) next year, we could be on the outside looking in come October.

    The MOST I would offer Bautista is $100 over 4 years and even then that's a lot. $150 over 5 is just insane. Forget getting that anywhere.

    Has anyone safely been able to get out on deeper water on lady Simcoe recently? Whitefish have been haunting my dreams but I haven't even been able to target them this year. If I got out once this year, even if I got skunked I'd have scratched the itch.

    This winter has been just brutal for fishing. But all will be forgiven if I can get out my kayak in April.

    Wow! What a haul! Glad to hear the fishing was successful and that you were able to grab some keepers. Those medallions look delicious! Also, you have to teach me how you clean a fish. Those are some great fillets.

    Anyone know if Sail has the new live target stuff in yet? Usually I find they tend to get the new stuff in before any other place.

    With the currents and warm temps Quinte is super sketchy this winter. I would avoid it unless you knew the area really well. Too many spots with 2 inches of 'white crust'

    Man that is a real purdy sight. Night fishing is the best. Maybe go a little deeper and try for Burbot (are there burbot in Simcoe?). I hear they feed at night. Also, million dollar question - How was the ice where you were?

    I'd spend the $80 that I would use to rent the hut and buy an auger. Goy is a great starter area. Lots of fish. Lots of dinks. Never been with Hales but take the deeper water.

    Didn't the Sens have some guy named Alf? He was that Alien guy with the TV show right? In Ottawa you could take the team all the way to the cup finals and still no one cares who you are. In Toronto, getting you into the playoffs and you get a bronze statue put up outside the building. I can see why no one would want to come to Toronto.

    Lake Joseph is 100% not safe. 2-3 inches of ice in shallow bays and it gets worse. Anyone know if VB is safe? We need an alternative.

      We were just around foots (exact location can not be disclosed) and it was 4 inches at best up to 15 feet off of shore, getting worse the further we went out. Thanks for the heads up Terry, we went to Cooch. 7 inches of good ice all over there.
