  1. Nope. Never. Only seen the one, and it was on my dog. This area doesn't have many. I spend a lot of time in the woods too. S.
  2. I've had dogs all my life, and only seen one tick ever, and that was last summer on my chocolate lab. He also passed away last summer. I don't blame the tick, just found it ironic. Nasty critters. I hope I never get one on me. S.
  3. We have an aluminum trailer at work that constantly needs things welded back together. Sure, its light, but its no good when its broken. I have a 6x10 galv that hasnt needed any service in 10 yrs. I also like my galv boat trailer. S.
  4. I have some great crappie spots ii wont even go to annymore because of the crowds. Ignorant people too. Nothing worse. S.
  5. If the ice is off, there will be warmer water somewhere. North shorlines, and windblown bays/point always warm first.
  6. Shallow. That is all.
  7. We already got into ice out lakers in the haliburton area. There was still ice on parts of the lake. I always troll rapala tail dancers. They work great for me. S.
  8. If the trebles are pooched its easier to cut them off. S.
  9. Not required, and I wouldn't bother. S.
  10. Nice! Love the tiller boats. Look at all that room to fish!! Nice job. You won't have any issues with the PT, don't worry. S.
  11. I'm a lowrance guy thru and thru. I've never had an issue with any of my units. I have a bird portable that I bought this past winter, and it worked fine, but nowhere near as nice as my portable lowrance. That said, I have no experience with eithe of the units you mentioned. S.
  12. Wow, that is cold. I found 60 degree water last weekend, but still slow fishing. We managed enough for a crappie dinner, but not much more! This week will get things rolling. Warm nights and light winds with sunny days....slay time! S.
  13. Yeah, I upload to PB, copy the IMG link, and it doesnt work on this phone. No prob from PC.
  14. Tried it, wont work that way for me either. Nobody else uses a blackberry?
  15. Hes getting big! Better catching days will come, but looks like a great day of fishing! S.
  16. Cant beat fishing with the old man!! A good ole fashion slay is even better! Great job boys! Looks mint out there! S
  17. Its not me, its this stupid phone. I can post from my PC no problem, but I hardly use the PC anymore. I've always used photobucket, never a problem. S.
  18. Good job Nick. Kids don't forget that kind of stuff, ever. S.
  19. Yes, this is all true for big fish, on big water, but when fishing smaller fish, in smaller lakes, its easier and more fun to let the board go. I don't think Chris plans to run a whole fleet of boards for haliburton area lakers, but I could be wrong I suppose. Your set up is the way to go for quinte, or lake O or similar though, for sure. S.
  20. Both my units power cord and transducer wires are connected, so i'd have to dissconnect from battery, and back of unit. My TM is mounted permanent though, and good luck trying to steal it! I dont like the quick release brackets! S.
  21. Nope....doesnt work. Can anyone post pics from a blackberry Q10?? S.
  22. Test http://rs24.pbsrc.com/albums/c15/Sinker1975/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20150114_165623_edit_zps06ad6242.jpg~320x480 See....stupid phone. I cant figure it out on this phone using the mobile skin, on the mobile photobucket. And this keyboard sucks ass!!!!
  23. I cant get phhotobucket to work for me anymore. It drives me nuts. Whats the trick?
  24. Works good on big fish, yes, but these haliburton lakers are smallish, usually, so the release clip is the better way to go. Just swing around and pickup the board after landing the fish. No big deal. Fighting a 16-20" laker with a board attached to the line on med spinning gear isn't a whole lot of fun. S.
  25. Im off every other wed/thurs, and dont start until 1pm fridays. If your ever up this way, or want to come this way, get in touch! Finding a weekday fishing partner aint easy!! S.
