  1. Yes sir! My old man still uses one to haul wood......he prefers it over his yammy venture any day! S.
  2. Another vote for a bravo or tundra. Simple, reliable machines that will get you anywhere you need to go. S.
  3. Cesarea, view lake, sand bar...to name a few. S.
  4. Old information, but the turbo's still blow? Ok then. If you say so. I drive a turbo, and know how they work, and what they do. I'd take the V8, thanks. S.
  5. I'm a yammy guy myself. Still running a 93. Runs like a charm, but needs lower unit work now....no complaints At all. It doesn't owe me a cent. S.
  6. Nice!! Thanks for sharing! Looks like a great hunt! S.
  7. I never understood the eco boost. Adding a turbo to anything is never good for fuel economy, and in general, turbo's lead to trouble. I'd get a V8 for sure. If your towing and driving a truck, your going to burn gas. Period. S.
  8. What side of the lake are you on? I usually go with Tim hales out of beaverton. Best equipment on the lake, great huts, and usually get some fish. Good guys IMO. S.
  9. Just think of all the work your going to havewhen you get back from 2-3 weeks away! No thanks! I'm sick of snow removal, but I dont mind the cold. S.
  10. Make sure you put runners on the bottom. Thats where mine always gets punctured. Never had an issue with the tow bar causing damage. S.
  11. Shoot the hot water out of a water gun....its pretty neat. S.
  12. I haven't noticed this myself, it takes more than that to wake me at 4am, but could it be the ice from the freezing rain, on top of the snow on the roofs expanding and making the bang? Of course the weather network would make it out to be something like a "frost quake". I'm sure they just made that up to get more ratings....... S.
  13. Some pretty good atlantic fishing on the island, but same as any river fishing, timing is everything. When I was home 2 summers ago, it was pretty much a drought, and the salmon were stale, and real hard to catch, so I didnt waste my time. Id rather fish the saltwater anyways. Sounds like you and I were there at the same time frodo. I was there for the rec fishery in 2012. Beautiful weather the whole time, and tons of fish! S.
  14. How do you even find that crap? You think duck dynasty is bad?? Give your head a shake! S.
  15. I bet they werent duck dynasty fans S.
  16. I still think the morals shown on that show are better than 99% of all the shows on TV. If you want to pick on morals, watch some of the kids shows on YTV. I dont allow it in my house! S.
  17. Id say its current to Brian. Especially with a williams. When you get that lure jigging it scoots all over the place. Try a meegs type jig and see if it still does it. I have ha5 days where marking my williams got frustrating too. Put on a meegs, or jiggin rap and mark it no problem. S.
  18. Hey, he has a right to his opinion, just like you and I do. If you don't agree, so be it. S.
  19. Now your talking!! Keep on Rockin Steve! S.
  20. Yep, the dropshot with minnows never fails Good luck. S.
  21. Wow.....ive seen millions and millions of codfish, but never one that big!!! WOW!!! Ive seen 50lbers a few times, but good lord, that thing is massive!! My old man was saying that the fall rec. Fishery this year had the biggest fish he'd seen since he was a kid, and lots of them. I know when I was there 2 summers ago, we'd have one every drop, and sometimes your jig wouldnt hit bottom. You're right about the limit. 5 per person. Maximum 15 per boat per day. No possesion limit. The best fish in the world right there! Thanks for the report!! S.
  22. Im REALLY surprised to hear that Bruce! Wow.... Been using caseys for as long as I can remember and never had a single bad thing to say. New owners have been pretty good to me and my fishing buddies, but without Casey and Leona, the place certainly isnt the same. They were the nicest people on the lake, and I learned a ton about that lake fron 'ole Casey. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience there. I would recommend them to anyone. S.
  23. It may be scripted, and kinda getting "old", but its the only show I see on TV that actually has good morals, ethics, and family values. I watch it for that alone. The rest of the scripted "junk" I just turn a blind eye to. S.
  24. Should be lots of cheap firewood around! S.
