Your totally missing my point. I share lots of info, and help TONS of people, just not on a public forum. Everything here is just a google search away, you dont even have to be a member. Any poacher, garbage dumper, theif etc can obtain this info, anytime, and the click of a mouse. I have no problem sharing info, just not on a public forum. I actually come here for the non-fishing posts, and ive learned TONS of stuff from this site. Keep your spots tight lipped, trust me, you'll thank me later! S.

Hahaha.....you guys kill me. of course its not my lake, and I dont mind fishing with people either, all im saying id if we keep this info open to anyone, the lake wont take the pressure. Go fish, have fun, share with your friends and family, just keep it off the internet....simple! Im not saying I own the lake and I dont want anyone else on it, just that the ease of access to information these days is doing damage to the lakes and fish populations. You guys need to lighten up, not me...think about it! If you like to fish lake simecoe (or any other lake) dont tell the whole world about it, or the next time you go, you wont have a spot to fish. Pretty straight forward if you ask me.... S.

I picked up a hardcopy today. Get them while you can....or if you can! S.

This proves my point perfectly. A guy who has fished simcoe once or twice, and thinks all the info is great. You dont see the damage, because your not out there enough to see the changes. Ive put my time in,figured it out on my own, long before the internet was here, so I can see the changes since these reports came along. Im not looking for solitude, im looking for a great spot to take my kids, and their kids for the rest of my life, but I fear thats not going to happen in time. The internet doesnt protect our resources, they exploit them. Get out and fish, share with your friends, but keep it off the public fishing forums. There are a lot more people taking advantage of this information than you might think!!! S.

No offence to you at all, im just saying all this info available to anyone who wants it is not doing any good for our lakes. Mark my words....its already happening. Anyone who has spent the last 25 years on the water multiple times a week figuring it out on their own will tell you the same thing. The guys who learned everything they know from reading it online, and not actually setting foot ouside their front door will think these reports are the best thing going. Give it some time, its only going to get worse. S.

The lakes here have been frozen over for almost 3 weeks. For them to say its not safe is Bull. I havent been out myself, but I know for sure its safe in most areas. There are always the bad spots around current areas by the causeway, and the narrows, but the majority of the lake will be fine. I love how these authorities give ice reports and dont even check the ice. No wonder half the population is scared to go on ice!! This stuff really ticks me off!! S.

Your method of hunting rabbits would be totally illegal here, but sounds like it would be effective. Im a wingshooter myself. Cant beat a moving target, and its a different shot everytime. S.

Whats wrong with people actually getting off their couch and checking for themselves? If you dont think these internet reports, and now videos, add to the crowds, im sorry, but your dead wrong! S.

Ya, there used to be millions of whities too.....we all know where they went!!! S.

I'm pretty sure there were well over 72 fish killed in that tourney. In fact, I'm positive. Bass tourneys....sure, go for it. Walleyes.....no way.....too much pressure on them already, and they don't do well with live release. S.

These guys doing the video reports of ice conditions are going to wreck the lake. I've been fishing port bolster side for many, many years, and there was never a problem finding a spot to park. Last year, this guy was posting videos from this side, and I couldn't even find a parking spot. Not to mention all the garbage, and crap lying around. Local residents aren't going to put up with the crowds he's drawing over there for very long, then we'll all be screwed for a place to go. Why can't people just keep they're yaps shut?? I guess they like the pat on the back?? I don't get it. S.

I don't think the shooter in the video would shoot at game that far away. The video was just for fun. Shooting a slug at a deer at that range would be just as effective as buckshot at 100yds...... S.

I learned how to drive on lake scugog. True story. I was driving an 85 K car, 5 speed, in almoat a foot of snow. Good times! S.

Dont even get me started. Luckily, I live in the country, and only have a 10 min ride to work with one stop sign the whole way.....country drivers are a little better. I dont know how you folks can live right in the city!! S.

I bet she skims over tonight. That rain friday will be a blessing! S.

-21 outside my window right now. I bet simcoe freezes right over tonight. S.

If your at the right resort, there is some great shore fishing. The bridges are decent, but nothing to really get excited about. Will you catch fish? Absolutley, will it be the trip of a lifetime? Nope! S.

This thread should be deleted. Sorry, but its against the rules to post detailed information and lake names. I bet theres more guys out there now....in fact, I guarantee it!! S.

Where u stayin....what resort? Been a few times. Fishing can be good from the bridges at night, and at slack tide. S.

Look into the rem 870 combo kits, or a mossberg 3 barrel combo. Are you set on that winchester for a specific reason? Im a little biased, im a hardcore 870 guy, but your not getting much with that winchester for your money IMO. Ive been shooting the same 870 for everything for a long time. Works like a charm EVERY time, and ive seen MANY fancy auto loaders become single shots when my 870 still functions flawless. They're not pretty, but they ARE reliable and versitile. The 2 or 3 barrel combo sets are tough to beat!! S.

Don't feel bad, my 17year old daughter won't have anything to do with killing or cleaning, but she'll eat it all day long! S. -
Yep, rifled slug through a smooth barrel. Honestly, all ya need is a 12 guage with a slug. The buckshot just isn't worth it. Sure, there are times when buckshot will be handy, but MOST times, a slug is better. I can shoot remington sluggers out of my rem 870 to 70yds easy, and put them all in a pop can. Good enough for me. Im happy with my elite 5 dsi with the hotmaps chip for around here mike. A bigger screen would have been nice, but I couldnt pass up the deal. Unit works good, GPS is a great tool. Once you have it, you will wonder how you ever fished without it!! S.

Ya, no worries. Google yamaha 4 stroke making oil if you want to learn more about it. Basically cause from running below preffered temp. Common on 4 stroke outboards. S.
