  1. Ordering pizza in our new world CALLER: Is this Gordon's Pizza? GOOGLE: No sir, it's Google Pizza. CALLER: I must have dialed a wrong number. Sorry. GOOGLE: No sir, Google bought Gordon’s Pizza last month. CALLER: OK. I would like to order a pizza. GOOGLE: Do you want your usual, sir? CALLER: My usual? You know me? GOOGLE: According to our caller ID data sheet, the last 12 times you called you ordered an extra-large pizza with three cheeses, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and meatballs on a thick crust. CALLER: OK! That’s what I want ... GOOGLE: May I suggest that this time you order a pizza with ricotta, arugula, sun-dried tomatoes and olives on a whole wheat gluten-free thin crust? CALLER: What? I detest vegetable pizza! GOOGLE: Your cholesterol is not good, sir. CALLER: How the hell do you know! GOOGLE: Well, we cross-referenced your home phone number with your medical records. We have the result of your blood tests for the last 7 years. CALLER: Okay, but I do not want your rotten vegetable pizza! I already take medication for my cholesterol. GOOGLE: Excuse me sir, but you have not taken your medication regularly. According to our database, you only purchased abox of 30 cholesterol tablets once, at Drug RX Network, 4 months ago. CALLER: I bought more from another drugstore. GOOGLE: That doesn’t show on your credit card statement. CALLER: I paid in cash! GOOGLE: But you did not withdraw enough cash according to your bank statement. CALLER: I have other sources of cash. GOOGLE: That doesn’t show on your last tax return unless you bought them using an undeclared income source, which is against the law. CALLER: WHAT THE HELL! GOOGLE: I'm sorry, sir, we use such information only with the sole intention of helping you. CALLER: Enough already! I'm sick to death of Google, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and all the others. I'm going to an island without internet, cable TV, where there is no cell phone service and no one to watch me or spy on me. GOOGLE: I understand sir, but you need to renew your passport first. It expired 6 weeks ago...

  7. This is the one we're getting in the NWT. I don't know why we're not getting the other one as it could just be stored on the porch. The Moderna one will need to be brought inside to keep it warm!!!! 😜

  8. Ya... you just echo the opinion that is given to you through the MSM and blend in with the crowd like the good sheep you are. You don't like being called a sheep but you have grouped me into several groups. Can't take what you give? I live in no fear of anything or anybody. I have simply questioned the safety and effectiveness of this new "vaccine" which has been pushed to market in 1/10th the time of any other medication out there. I suppose you have experience in the industry and know everything about the regulatory approval and clinical trials. The flu shot... 40-60% of the time? So lets run the strawman argument here like you have. Can anyone prove the people who got the flu shot would have actually gotten the flu without the shot? Here's a real serious question for you: How many people who get the MMR vaccine actually get any of the three? That is what a vaccine does, not 40-60%. Again, I am only questioning a single thing so all of these other groups you have put me in and all of these other things you say I am afraid of and all these other words you have put in my mouth are BULL.

  9. That puts two products into the vaccine arsenal now, as well as two supply chain pipelines. The Moderna one doesn’t require the drastic extreme cold storage that the Pfizer one does, so it may be easier to get to more places. 10. Although I will take a quick measurement of a fish's length, I have never measured girth. We got a real good one a few weeks back (sorry for the crappy airbrushing....my first attempt). It was 52 inches long but no clue what the girth is. It was super fat, but of course these things are hard to tell in photos. What would the "normal" girth of a 52 inch musky be? Is it 24 inches? 22 inches? And if that is "normal" what would a thick fish have as a girth at that length...25? 27?. This one was clearly eating some fatty oily fish (ie trout) not surviving on a meal of perch! Reason for asking is a mount is being considered, but don't want to underestimate it or overestimate it. **sorry guys pic now deleted. I wasn't aware someone can "un blurr" the photo to see the background. For the sake of guys that fish that area regularly I did not want to reveal the spot**

  11. my buddies go up fishing there every once in a while. They seem to catch a good amount of bass. Its nice and quite and I dont think its too "rough" they have no issues camping around at various boat launches.

  12. So here we are going into grey lockdown for the province. How does this differ from last time? Here's what I've been able to find. I hope I am reporting correctly, but if I am wrong, please correct me, and provide a link if you can. Changes from last time: 1. Boat ramps will not be closed. 2. Crown Land will not be closed to camping. 3. Significant restrictions on group gatherings both outdoors but especially indoors. 4. Hotels, motels and lodges [emphasis mine] to remain open. Stuff that is the same as last time, even though plenty of folks didn't know these things to be true at the time: 1. There are no travel bans in Ontario. It is not against the law to travel around Ontario to go fishing. 2. Doug Ford and others are "asking" "recommending" "suggesting" "wishing" "requesting" people stay at home, but there is nothing preventing us from going out fishing. 3. As for (2) above, there are the same requests to not leave your region, but no orders. 4. It's OK to go up north to your cottage. 5. Merricans can't come into Canada for non-essential reasons, and though many here would disagree, fishing is deemed non-essential. 6. Nobody is going to write you a ticket for doing this stuff - going fishing up north, etc. As far as I can determine, it was a complete fallacy that any cops wrote anyone any tickets for going up north in the spring of 2020. In May, I put my canoe on top of my car and drove up north to above Sault Ste. Marie to go ice climbing. The canoe was there merely as an attention-grabber, and after passing a half-dozen OPP cars, it garnered no attention whatsover. No credible proof was ever shown here [a photograph of the alleged $700 tickets issued by alleged cops on Highway 35 going up to cottage country], so SOMEONE [I forget who] owes me a beer, unless he/she provides said photograph. Anyway, read the rules, understand what they mean, and make an informed decision based on facts, not rumours and hearsay. I figure we might as well go fishin' during grey lockdown. Is there any better way to socially isolate? Thoughts? Cheers, eh? And, like, Merry Christmas! P.S. It might be of interest to some that I have engaged in significant international travel this year. We only learned the truth in July, that only the You-Ess land borders were closed to non-essential travel, but it has ALWAYS been OK - and is STILL OK - to fly to the US for non-essential travel and holiday and so on. Accordingly, in September we flew to Yosemite and did an 11-day ascent of the big wall called El Capitan. Then we travelled through California climbing in places like San Diego and Joshua Tree. People were wearing masks for the most part and observing social distancing rules. We did not see any Trump supporters threatening to take over the country after he lost. Then we flew to Mexico - wearing masks on the airplane and busses and so on - and went caving up in the Sierra Mazatec mountains in Oaxaca. We spent a day in Mexico City before flying home, where most everyone - including us - were wearing masks. After downloading and filling out our ArriveCAN app, we flew into Toronto International Airport YYZ - which I refuse to call Pearson - where we received no covid test. A friend picked us up [we wore masks in the car] and drove us home, where we didn't venture off the property for the required 14 days of quarantine. Actually, we did make a single allowed excursion to get a covid test, and three days later the website told us we were negative. We didn't need to do this; we just felt like checking. Today I have received my "get out of jail card" and the first place I went was like, the Beer Store, eh? I might also go visit a fishing store, because I can. I'm the safest person out there right now! Anyway, please check my facts, and don't not go fishing!

  16. I saw a guide who I believe is a Muskies Canada executive show a new life saving technique for saving bleeders (of all species not just Muskie) When a fish is bleeding from the mouth or gills he pours carbonated water or soda down it's throat. It stops the bleeding, which he demonstrated on a fish he caught on the show. I'm betting carbonated water is better than soda but if that's all you've got then better soda than nothing since bleeding, particularly from the gills, is a 100% killer. I agree that you can't force guys to learn proper handling and if you want to get a punch in the face go down to the Whirlpool and criticize a local on handling Rainbow, Lakers Browns etc . It's shocking how they treat them but don't speak out or you will get in a punchup in a dangerous place. The club might have great intentions but they need membership and revenue to do what good things they do. If you look at clubs like St Catharines Fish and Game, or Credit Anglers or Trout Canada they all feature good and bad. SCF&G promote a catch and keep big fish trout tourney but also do some stocking, Credit Anglers does stream rehab, some stocking and educating but in my experience is made up of guys who stream fish with eggs a LOT of eggs. Metro East Anglers do the best stocking work in Ontario but they also promote catch and keep derbies . Conservation areas offer some great fishing on local impoundments , impoundments that measure out in acres yet they sell bait and some even have big fish derbies.... on bodies of water where boats with live wells are banned. It all revolves around $$ which for all these entities, is scarce. In addition there is, universally, a stubborn reliance on personal belief versus actual evidence based science. Where have we heard that before?

  17. haha so true. We were up at a cottage and only had access to a tinny. Debated whether we should bother going out or not...good thing we did! It was a drizzly gross day in a crappy little boat. We decided to stay close to shore fishing a drop off and it worked. Funny thing is probably my 2 biggest muskies have come in same condition...gross fall day, in a tin can boat rather than the comforts of a "proper" vessel! Currently considering selling my current boat and fishing from a tinny all the time.

  19. BAH bahhhhh giving you references from the Ontario Epidemiology report is not MSM. Lets clear that up. Once again, I have not once provided any references to any publications from "MSM" (i love that you guys have a special name for that now too) Every single reference here I have provided are from scientific documents being published by either our local health units, or other scientific sources. Not a single article from any media company to be found. Tough to have a discussion when one side simply provides facts from vetted sources while the other is arguing with "what ifs" from youtube lol
