Cards aren't issued by the Government OI. They were/are issued by private companies/power squadrons etc and there is no registry for them. Many of these fly by night operations that issued boaters cards are gone, so makes it hard to get a copy in many cases.
Join me for a FREE Navionics webinar next Tues. May 26, 2020 at 7:00 PM EDT where we'll going to be talking about probably my favourite way to catch bass, on topwater! Great time to be learning more and we'll try to cover as much as possible about "Hardbody Topwater Bassin'!" as possible, if you have any questions in particular, please comment on this post and I'll try to answer them. But leading up to it, here is a pop quiz : How different modifications can you spot on the popper with this post?
You can register for the webinar at: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/6470295383013328909?source=David+Chong And again totally FREE!
What a sweet deal it was. Cabelas open 9 am. I B-Line to the bargian cave. Loads of tying materials marked down stupid crazy prices. 50-75 % savings. Loaded up. Then I see this wrapped up thing with just some brass showing. Pick it up,read the tag and say,no way. There is usually a note saying something is missing. I ask the lady if she could cut the tape and wrap so I could look at it. Sure as crap,it,was a Griffon rotary vise and everything was in the bundle. One motion jaw for all hook sizes .Reg $200 marked down to $19. I asked no questions. B-Line it to the cash, pay and yelling, start the Ram, start the Ram. LOL
Out with the old
In with the new
Front hook replaced with a ex caliber red treble.
Back has a red thread wrap that is holding a white saddle hackle with pearl crystal flash .
If it was repainted,I would have no idea,as so many are out there.
Do I win the popper ?
LOL
Taking the boat out of storage this year I found that a mouse had made residence in the compartment under my seats. That called for a full vacuum and wash of the entire boat. Then the boat launches were closed, which meant even more cleaning and waxing to pass the time. I realized I didn’t have a photo of the boat with the new seats in it.
its nice to know that if you take care of a even a 22 year old boat they can look nearly new.
Your old vise was my step up from Canadian Tire kit vise I started with. $60 from Sail I was ripping it.
Couple years I'm thinking stepping up looking at $200- 300 vises.
Then a Ganny legend OMJ was selling fly stuff and part of that was a Renzetti ,what a step up.
Just this last year I got the old out and tried using it Mmmm sold it.
Super deal Brian! Heres my$24 Bass pro special .Made in india .A few tweeks and it works!! Lol! A few of my latest ties!
Git atter! The fish are waitin!!!
Cheers and happy tying!
Do you work for Fish ' n Canada in any capacity?
Seems like all your posts are promoting them or trying to drive views their way.
Or maybe you have already disclosed your affiliation with that company and I haven't seen it yet.
Thanks
I don’t get it
they can organize a 100 car cruise to drive by a hospital and that’s fine
but a car club doing the same thing, just driving by something else is illegal
Sweet pick up!
I wanted to buy my first fly vise. A few days ago I had the Peak rotary vise in my Cabelas cart and it was on sale for $189 but I just checked now and it’s back to retail at $229 👎
I wonder how that Griffin vise dropped to $19?
The engine popped/died crossing the airport fence and he grabbed as much altitude as he could. Whether it was with the hope to turn back to the airport (that we're generally trained NOT to do) or eject only the pilot can tell that tale and will in time. I'd originally thought it stalled and spiralled and may well have, I don't know the characteristics of a Tudor.... a Cessna would have dropped the outside wing in the turn (right) and rolled over opposite to what this Tudor did. Maybe he rolled to make sure the canapy cleared.
I know it's $880 for organizing a gathering of more than 5 people. My old car club buddies got nailed for it two Saturdays ago, for gathering at Walmart to go for a cruise with a dozen cars. Nobody even got out of their cars.. but they "gathered" at Walmart via social media posts. So call your friends if you want to go for a cruise.. yet they have no issues with these Birthday and appreciation drive bys!
