  1. A Myrtle Beach Sun Rise This is a croker, they are plentiful and I am told they are bony but good eating, we usually just throw them back. This is our home away from home, there isn't much of a yard which suits me just fine A small puffer fish, I'll try to get a picture of one that hasn't puffed up yet, doesn't look anything like it does at this point. A spider crab, this is a small one, they will grab your bait and not let go until you get them right up on the pier, not very big but lots of attitude. Last but not least for today is our target fish, a whiting, My buddy and I landed about 50 of these guys between us this morning, this isn't the biggest one but considered a keeper It was cold this morning, only +4 but by noon it was up to +19.

  2. My wife loves to eat fish. My standard line is that if I have no fish I need to be home on time. If I have fish then I can come home any old time I'd like!😁

  4. Yes it is slower here since sites like FB but this core group is what brings be back daily. We have a true passion for fishing as a whole, not just 1 season. We share and help each other when we can. Thanks Nick for the rant and I DO get it.

  5. I get the same from people at work when I tell them I'm going ice fishing on the weekend. "You're crazy" "that's dangerous" Etc Always amazed when I ask "oh what are you doing this weekend" and I get the answer "oh we're going downtown to a club/bar" I tell them "You're more likely to be shot, stabbed or run over than I am likely to go through the ice"

  15. I think nautilus and Helly Hanson somehow merged into one. I have a helly hanson that is pretty much identical to a nautilus. I hate wearing it lol......and haven't in years. The reason most of these floater suits that aren't approved don't make the cut is the colour. They are required to be a bright colour (red, yellow, orange) to comply with the standards. Even my camoflauge mustang suit is not approved, and its essentially the same as an orange one. These other companies (striker, frabile, clam etc) also have to pay major bucks to have these suits tested, and that adds to the price out the door to us, the reason an approved suit is pushing a $1000 out the door. They just aren't warm. I dont find them warm anyways. Wear some quality warm gear, then a float suit, and you will feel the difference right away. Always feel damp in a foater. S.

  17. Dan, you should put a 1/4" UHMW disk between the two turntables. I used UHMW disks on my komatik's hitch to keep things tight but smooth.

  18. Been working on cars for the last 45 years and all I can say is that there are no bad cars; it's just that some are just more challenging then others. Like what I say to a customer when they're complaining about their vehicle. I didn't build it, I didn't buy it, I didn't break it; I'm only here to fix it. LOL Even my 1950 Chevy Styleline Deluxe was way under powered; but I fixed that with a Vortec 4800. Nice step up from the 92hp six cylinder to the 280hp V8 of this injected motor. Having the body restored and hope to have her back on the road this spring. Dan.

  19. Not really amazing, I've just never really needed alot of sleep and consider myself lucky. I used to do a huge amount of biking for a long time and would often leave my house @ 2:00 AM and ride 30 - 40 miles just because it was something I really enjoyed. Even now I start most days with a 4 mile hike and usually head out before sunrise.
