If there were as many Hab fans as Leaf fans on this thread you would be going OUT OF YOUR MIND. The Leafs fans here adore you like a child with boundless hope not seeing the disaster before him. We know the Sens are a quaint off beat regional team on it's last breath along with the Coyotes. Whatever they do to you Matt, we will take you back!!! <3

Too funny! Hahahaha

If you tried to turn back into the fold of the Hab's fan base they would kick you in the nuts and then step on your hands with their white skates.  :)  See the difference in fan bases? As pathetic a fan that a true leaf fan has been over the last 50 years they are good willed and loyal. Hab fans are ALWAYS vindictive and shrill!

Anybody watch the game last night? Or was it blacked out for the laffites? LOL

Pretty sad when a team playing as bad as Ottawa beats the almighty laffs bahahahaha:lol:

That performance last night is exactly why the laffs will win nothing this year and years to come.

GO SENS GO!!

Praise Alfie!!!

Its a good thing the season is 82 games and not 1 or Ottawa would have sold the farm in the first 6 games of the season for their 'unbeatable team.'

Really really bad pinch by Riley on that last goal but it happens. Doesn't matter anyways, we won't be seeing the sens in the playoffs.

The Jearsys on the ice and the waffles make total sense for protest. Leafs fans are still loyal and will support the team but with those actions wanted to show management that the direction the team was going was unacceptable. And change was made. Now look at us.

Anyone who assaults someone else at the arena there is no place for. In leafs nation. In Ontario, In Canada. On this planet. But a few bad apples can spoil the whole bunch.

Last year a new guy got hired at my work.  Found out he was a leaf fan.  Thought to myself awesome.  Me too.   One of the first things he said was Gardiner was the leafs best defenseman.  Lets just say i dont talk hockey with him anymore.

Leafs are looking lackluster of late and fading in the standings. It's time to right the ship boys!

I hear the Sens are shopping Phaneuf.

I know some guys consider the Leafs a force, I think it's going to be a struggle just to get into the playoffs, same as last season. At the half way point, the Leafs would finish with a projected 96 points and 95 is the usual threshold to make the playoffs, and I think they were achieving more than they deserved in the first half of the season.

I'm not really digging Babcock and I expected he would have had the team playing better at this point.

anyone else notice Kypreos' new potential line combos in the pregame show, pretty much exactly what I would try, Babcock's too proud to give in to Matthews/ Marner on the same line.

The thing is that they are not fading in the standings...and pretty well have a lock on third in their division. Why, because the top three teams of each division automatically make the playoffs...AND...the teams below them in their own division SUCK. If the Leafs get a little bit better than one point per night they would have 96 points. Heck they can probably get away with one point per night because which of these following teams will hit 90 points? Buffalo, Ottawa, Habs, Panthers, or Wings? Probably none of them. That is why predictions are already 95% that the leafs make the playoffs and will be playing Boston.

Now this has been apparent for some time, so what if Babcock knowing this is using the remaining schedule as a giant practice. Points are nice but not necessary. Get this young impulsive team under his thumb and beat defense into them until they bleed. Otherwise what do you have? You have a team like the Jays of the last few years with a potent offense but that doesn't win you everything. This keeps contract extensions down in price also. Ditto Matthew's lesser ice time.

Finally, Babcock can then turn the switch late in the season into a more aggressive playoff mode, let them off the leash and he now has the bonus that the defensive lessons were internalized. In the end it doesn't really matter how you did in the regular season...ie Habs and Capitals last few seasons, it's how you do in the playofs....so you can't judge Babcock until after the season is over. Getting into the second round would be a success.

They must not be listening about defense.  Two leaf players going for the same guy on what amounted to a two on one for the winning goal. Was that Gardiner again?.

Nylander was at fault he went for the guy carrying the puck.

These are young guys in a super fast game. Look at comparable young teams...Edmonton, Arizona, Carolina...none of them are burning up the league. That ability to know which impulses and instincts to trust and which to shun is a learned thing...it's called maturity.

As Babcock has said these are good games they are playing....tight low scoring games leading into the third. The type of game they had trouble winning earlier Insert other media and the type of game they will have to win to advance in the playoffs. I'm not pushing the panic button.
