NF brand new ATV trouble, looking for input

My bro inlaw bought a new Yamaha Kodiak 450 (partially on my recommendation, so I feel a little guilty), was running at the dealership, just got it home tonight, trying to back it out of his truck, it started, then stalled, then farted abit, then turns over without starting or sputtering

 

sounds like it's starving for fuel

 

Anybody have any tips? He doesn't feel very good about spending money on a new ATV that doesn't run, I don't feel good for endorsing Yamaha

My old Big Bear needs the choke pulled full to start.. then 1/2 to run for the first 3 minutes or so. Won't even fire if you don't...

I'm assuming you've done all that has been mentioned. Gas on, choked it, kill switch not on etc.

 

Is it fuel injected, or carbed?
