Iggy Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Need to buy a small electric motor, back of rented boat. So portable but strong enough for trolling for walleye. Is 30 lbs strong enough. 16 foot boat with 2 fishermen? Bet place to buy?
Big Cliff Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Personally I would go with a 55 lbs thrust, don't forget you are also going to need to haul a deep cycle battery too. I know they are expensive but I would suggest a lithium iron phosphate battery because of extended range and light weight. Start by checking prices on Amazon, use those prices and reviews to narrow down your search. Hope this helps.
Iggy Posted 1 hour ago Author Report Posted 1 hour ago (edited) I've got a deep cycle battery but I'm having trouble charging it. Any tips on checking if it's still a good battery would help too. Man they are big and heavy I was thinking 55 would ve better but how much better. Is this enough to get you vack home if you engine ever kinked out? Edited 1 hour ago by Iggy Added more info
