crossover Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Carp outings have been close to poop, was thinking a slingshot could improve my chances as I hate getting my fingers all sticky, and someone who chums using a slingshot looks more like a cool, laid-back, I know what I'm doing sort of guy.
cranks bait Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 I would start to look at your mom and pop hardware stores then go from there. Maybe an army surplus as well. Just remember your chum could do this to you, making you not so cool, but still laid back
wallyboss Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 If you are looking for a regular slingshot Walmart has them. Specific for chumming No idea!!
ckrb2007 Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Bass Pro usually has a bin full of them up near the check-outs.
Headhunter Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 Canadian Tire or any gun shop. HH

dsn Posted November 25, 2010 Report Posted November 25, 2010 (edited) $10 bucks and you can have mine. Only used it once. Can't stand it. Made by E.S.P Used it once and all the corn ended up in my face. Least it was sweet. I get better results using a spod instead. dsn Edited November 25, 2010 by DSN

bassjnkie Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 Best bets (as I live in Toronto and driving all the way to St. Catherines or Hamilton is insane) would be BPS or Princess Auto. Also HH please don't spam this thread. Newworldcarp have a location or is it only online (I am ok with online as long as shipping isn't crazy) Shipping is great compared to most places. The Fox ones are pretty, I have 2, but all they are is pretty at $25-$30 with tax.
dsn Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 Or you can try Angling Specialties thats where I got mine. Kennedy Steeles area. But I'm not sure if their store is still available as heard from MJL they might be closing and the only place left would be their Vaughan Store, dsn

bassjnkie Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 DSN is right. Angling Spec carries some of the NWC products. Give them a call first.
hammercarp Posted November 26, 2010 Report Posted November 26, 2010 The slingshots from CTC and Bass Pro don't have a big enough pouch. The slings made for carp fishing have a large rubber pouch that will hold much more bait. New World is worth a try.
crossover Posted November 26, 2010 Author Report Posted November 26, 2010 Wow, so pretty much you gat get a sling-shot anywhere.... Do you know what google is? How silly of me for thinking that out dated information that isn't fishing specific is inferior to advice from real fishermen, oh the humanity
