  1. Joey, it is hard to diagnose your foot just from your picture, but it does not look good. Lateral part of your foot is showing excessive ecchymosis (bruising), which is a sign of bleeding under your skin. It could just be your blood vessels that are damaged which heal quickly. Bones also have their own blood network and this takes longer to heal and it needs medical intervention to correct it. Go to the emerge and request an X-ray to be done and get cleared by a physician. Ice should not have contact with skin for more then 20 minutes at a time as necrosis of tissue will occur. No one at the hospital will put a cast on a broken toe but if your toe is broken you need to prevent contracture or else wearing any of your current shoes might become uncomfortable when your toe heals. You can buy a finger splinter at Shoppers which you can modify to fit over your fifth toe. You would have to wear sandals for a month if you decide to go this route. Since most of toe fractures occur during summer, wearing sandals is not an inconvenience

  6. Its a lot of money for a 3 year plan on a smart phone. It's a jail term. Current plans, $65 ($70) with tax for a 1 gb data, 200 min with evenings and weekends free from 6 pm to 7am + $200 phone + 3 years = equals $2540. If you go over anything in your plan it adds up even more every month, and you will ($10 extra a if you go over 1 gb in a particular month). Mobilicity, public mobile and Wind are good if you use your phone within the city since their coverage area is small. Most of their plan sales go for $20 a month unlimited everything, but unlimited is more like 3 gb of data, if you reach that they will cap you. Compared to states, my friend is with one of the biggest carriers in the states, pays $45 with tax unlimited data, unlimited talk within US, unlimited text nationwide with an Iphone 4s on a 2 year plan. There is no 3 year plans in the states. I recently wanted to sign up, but I won't with the current plans. Over the next 3 years $2500 buys me a lot of good things that I'll need more then a cellular phone.

  10. Tomorrow I'll be purchasing navionics platinum plus for $340, ouch. $15 would have been a lot better.

  12. Last year, first ice, we found a huge school of whitefish on simcoe. For a week no one else was still fishing whity grounds on simcoe. We came back the next weekend knowing that no one still dared to venture out. Our car was full of ice rods in plane view, 30 min away from simcoe we have a car behind us, we slow down, he slows down, we go around some streets, he follows. I tell my friend that for sure he knows that we are after whitfish because of the area that we are in and to "loose" him. We did. We get back to the area and park, when we were changing a police cruiser pulls up. The car that was following us was driven by a retired police officer and he noticed my friend cross inches of the white line and that this made him suspect something and thats why he followed us. We had a laugh with the officer when I told him the whole story. But it could have been bad for us and could have ruined our day
  13. They have us and the government... use this for now, http://tomorrowsgaspricetoday.com/index.html
  14. Sufix 832 is by far the worst braid I have ever used, I've lost some very expensive lures because of it
  15. I bought one while the last sale was going on, I used it as per instructions to charge my Optima. Showed fully charged, but when I used it the next day the battery lasted for an hour max and then it just died. Battery doesn't hold voltage anymore. Battery always worked perfectly, before I used this charger, Optima was basically brand new. Just wanted to share that with the fellow OFC'rs
  16. I tried Sufix 832 in 80 lbs for the first time Saturday morning. Line snapped throwing a 5 oz lure, line broke above the knot. One hour later line snapped again throwing a 3 oz lure, line snapped at the knot. Trip got kind of expensive at $30-$40 a lure. Also, I've never seen another braid loose its color as fast as 832, almost all its color was gone after few hours of fishing. I was afraid that Gore fiber might be a hype to lure us in, I guess they "Caught" us. Be forewarned.
  17. Stowmaster 94IM, this is my primary net for everything. You'll love it. For musky and bigger fish Stowmaster 116. Stowmaster is the only net I would recommend, very easy to stow away and its very friendly to the fish because of the netting they use, and probably almost indestructible because of the aircraft aluminum construction. Very pricey net, but one of the best investments I've ever made.
