Billy Bob Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 I can remember like yesterday catching 9-10" brown trout in small creeks as a young kid and thought they fought hard. But to hook into this monster really takes the cake... http://www.jsonline.com/sports/outdoors/98649849.html

Looks like it might have been sitting in the sun for a while. lol
solopaddler Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 (edited) Better make sure they get it exactly right. On paper it's only 1/2 an ounce heavier than the brown caught last September in the Manistee river. Seems lake Michigan currently has a strong year class of monster browns, wow! bucktail Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 Awesome, wish we still had some freakish browns in Lake O , I think we need to get ahold of that strain and get them in Lake O. in the "old" days browns in the mid 30"s used to come out of lake O.
Billy Bob Posted July 19, 2010 Author Report Posted July 19, 2010 There are browns on the better side of Lake NY.....LOL..
misfish Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 Thats huge. in the "old" days browns in the mid 30"s used to come out of lake O I remember seeing some bigg,ns during the salmon derby years ago aswell.
BillsTheBassMan Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 What a Slab!!! I remember when the record Brown was 34.88 or something like that . . . caught here right in good old Ontario (from shore by a relatively famous angler). This fish dwarfs that one . . . a monster.
