bigugli
Use the stuff all the time. Especially original and cajun. I find Italian bland. For batter I'll usually get clubhouse, panko or scratch.
richyb
cajun 3 nights ago .... italian lastnight ... for my back up plan if i run out i go to the flour and seasoning salt mixture ... or dads old mixture of dip in egg and then into crushed crackers .... crappieperchhunter
Tried them all... original is still my favourite. The only one I don't like is Cajun. I like spicy stuff... just not on freshwater fish. The cajun is good on pork chops though.

bigugli
My Gram would use crushed potato chips as a crumble topping on all sorts of baked dishes. Would work well on fish dipped in an egg and milk wash. So do cornflakes, bran flakes and rice crispies.
Handlebarz
Hey Brad I forget the name of the stuff but a guy in Sudbury makes his own coating and sells it the guys here love it and buy it by the case from him he just sends it down here. Check Ramikos they might know who I am talking about if I find the name I will send it to ya but for now I draw a blank.

Mike Pike
Original is my absolute favorite. So easy and simple, just coat wet fillets with it and you're done. Now for DEEP frying, I'd encourage anyone to try the Beer Batter. Again, really simple, just the product mixed with a little beer and it's done. When deep frying, remember to pat the fillets as dry as possible first and that way the batter sticks to the fillets. Oil has to be nice and hot too. Mmmmmmmmmm
