ccmtcanada Posted March 4, 2008 Author Report Posted March 4, 2008 Hey Cliff are you and Bly on there for walleye?? I can't read the list!! It looks like the biggest walleye was 36"?!?! Hard to believe..... I ended up tied for 4th for walleye and tied for 4th for carp. Bly missed out on this years list by a mere half inch for walleye.

AzuluSpookd Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Thats a great program that they have going, especially to get children involved in fishing. The only problem that I see with it is the people putting outrageous sizes and there, with no pictures to prove at all and they accept it.

bbog Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 If only mud puppies, gobies, bikes and cell phones were there............ I caught a fishing rod once (by the top eyelet while trolling) - but a BIKE - you get first prize
Beans Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 (edited) I see a few OFNers in the carp categorie...Photoz, Uncle Buck, Ccmt, Blyght, Crazyhook... Goran is making good use of his new carp equipment... Edited March 5, 2008 by Beans
bigfish1965 Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Nice fish guys. Honestly, though cliff, I think a tie for first or second is more accurate. The second place fish is listed as 35 inches with a 10 inch girth......sounds more like an eel. As for the others...some people either got funny measuring tapes or have trouble converting from metric.
mepps Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 (edited) My 45 incher 25-30lbs(estimated, didnt actually measure it - although i estimated on the shorter side, its probably closer to 47inches) and the winning 53 incher, 43lbs... hmmmm... Edited March 4, 2008 by mepps
danc Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Brook Trout-27 1/2" near Bancroft and 27" from Wilmot Creek WOW!! Those are some big brookie and not from up North. DanC, do you ever enter yours? No I don't enter such competitions Nelly. My Brook Trout typically top out at around 23 inches each year. Beamish, who is a friend if mine is on the list a few times. His entries are in that range. The Wilmot fish looks suspicious to me. I've never seen a Brookie with bright pink cheeks before. Check out Bountyhunters 25" fish. Is that not a Steelhead??
GbayGiant Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 Yeah those are some crazy fish at the top, 53" pike, 36" walleye, those are some monsters. Seeing that picture though, that is one long pike. Nice fish guys.

LOL. I'm kidding of course. Because it's done on the honour system, there will always be inaccuracies. In short, it was an honour just to be nominated....
danbouck Posted March 5, 2008 Report Posted March 5, 2008 Go on the website and check out the biggest bass of the year. I need to buy one of their measuring tapes Check out 2006 as well biggest largemouth was almost 29" I'd like to find that hole!
