I have an internet stick from Telus that has a jack for an external aerial (sierra 306)which boosts the signal(perfect when I am up north).Rather than the hub,I bought a D-link Dir-412 wireless router that my stick goes into.It is the same basic thing as the hub but more mobile and I can use the aerial to improve reception.Speed isn't to bad but it suffers during the morning and evening rush hours do to increased use of the cell towers.Bell and Telus use the same towers and signal, rogers uses their own. vance

I will put a word in for my LG Shine Plus,it uses android and couldn't be happier with it.The stainless steel case sure keeps it from getting marked up. vance

Yes we were at ALL the manufactures sites and talked to some one from each one of them. Its amazing how when you figure everything in how close everyone is in price for similar boats. Bernie if I had known Mark was there I would have looked for him as we have a mutual friend from Powassan, Kim Lampkin. Craig where were you working as we probably crossed paths. vance

Well a friend of mine is in the market for his FIRST boat so 3 of us old hands went to the boat show with him. I honestly didn't expect much as he was looking for a 15-17 ft fishing boat and as a rule this is a cruiser type show,BUT at least half the floor space was taken up with exactly what he wanted. We met Henry Nguyen, a fellow OFNer at the Legend booth and spent quite a bit of time trying his patience and found out that he knows his boats.Right now my buddy is in sensory overload with data on boats and motors,as everyone had JUST about what he wanted. vance

Coverage this year for Canada is with Versus but I haven't seen it as yet either. http://www.dakar.com/dakar/2011/us/worldwide-tv-dakar.html They seem to have a good website with live feeds so check it out at www.dakar.com vance

Most auto accessory places have the door lock kits for about $250 or less and will install for them for $200.Do like I did and make up a wooden stick that I can reach over and flip the door lock on the passenger side to open or close it. vance

I highly recommend that you go to the Hi-Fi Center at 1050 Dundas in Whitby.I have been there many times and Joon has always beat the competition in price and knowledge. vance

My mind works slowly so I am now up to my 3rd post on this. The battery charger ONLY works if the battery is depleted, the whole 12v system works off your converter which has the battery charger built into it.I would give you the specs but that is an eight hour drive for me. Bigbuck if you are in a park you don't have enough room on your site to NOT interfere with your neighbors peace and quiet and you have to remember that the longer the cord the less power available. vance
-
Another thing to consider is that of the cheaper noisier gens produce dirty power that is hard on electronics because of constant spiking of the power produced.A guy down from me scored a great deal on a gen that took out his tv & microwave in 10 minutes. vance

As a trailer owner that at best has an temperamental Ont hydro service I have a generator as back up.I run the genny from 12-6 pm half the the summer because of a near permanent brown out.If you are going to use it regularly DO NOT skimp out.I have a Yamaha 3000sei that I have had for 6 years and only have changed the oil,My sister has had a Kipor 3000 for 6 yrs. and has had it replaced under warranty once and now it needs to be fixed again for the 3rd time. On my 24ft trailer I could run everything with no problem but on my new 32ft park model if I am running the air-tv-satellite-12v converter-lights I can't run the toaster or coffee maker but who drinks coffee when the lites are on. One thing I can tell you is that after 1-2 hours of a genny running LOUDLY you are ready for the loonie bin. Most people at my park don't even now that I am using mine because its SO quiet. vance

I always used Stihl oil for my Stihl weed wacker as it already has stabilizer added in.I am on my 3rd spark plug in 11 years and I only change them because I feel quilty about not doing it more often. vance
