  1. It was 85F in San Francisco on the weekend and just a beautiful day at Pebble Beach/Carmel... and I get back to this crap! HH
  2. Someone dropped a banana in the water... HH
  3. The School Bus restaurant is no longer a school bus. (in Killarney) They have converted it to a full blown restaurant and fish shop. It's hit and miss as to what they have for offerings as it depends on what the fisherman catch that day. Expect perch or whitefish. I have a friend who has a place on the North Channel, 5 miles out form Killarney and spent a week there this past summer. A big plus 1 to ensuring that you have what you need, before turning off hwy 69. The general store has some basics, but fresh fruit and veggies are few and far between... and expensive! HH
  4. Not as in this case where the weather was so bad that they couldn't see the front end of their truck! HH
  5. GPS and compass are great, but they won't show you the pressure crack you are about to drive into. HH
  6. Welcome back to the fold Matt! We Leaf fans missed you! LOL HH
  7. Gotta give the new leaf management kudos for getting rid of a ton of salary in the last year! HH
  8. I'm having problems understanding why things un-folded on that streetcar the way they did. Sure, he was obviously distressed, given what he did on the streetcar before the cops arrived. But when the car was empty, cops everywhere, they stood in the doorway, with the doors open, demanding that he comply with their orders. Seems to me to be pretty obvious that he was under the influence and as such, he should have been handled differently. Why not simply shut the streetcar doors (you can do that with the switch under the sign at the front of the car) and wait for a supervisor with a taser to arrive and taser him? Surely the number of cops at the scene could have easily over-powered this kid, but instead, he gets shot 9 times!!!!! Either the cop was messed up himself or his training was woefully inadequate. HH
  9. This made me LOL! I like the way you think! What Dara said^. HH
  10. I just can't seem to figure out how Chris ever got a hold of 1/4 of a beer!!!!! HH
  11. I was at Jembi Lake through White River Air for a week this past July. If you are specific in your questions, I would be happy to answer them. HH
  12. If it was truly Canadian, there would be a Tim Horton's underneath it. HH
  13. 12 years and out for good behavior in five is my guess. Such a shame... HH
  14. GET OFF MY LAWN!!!!!!!! HH
  15. I guess I'll clarify my point. If you have ever been to a Raptors game, you would know that the building is a bee hive of energy. From the constant playing of up-beat music, to the interaction with the fans, the NBA is a fast paced form of entertainment. This is why I have made the comments that I have. Sting is not a high energy, fast paced performer. His solo work is considered among the high brow community to be rock n roll, but in reality, he's the Perry Como of "modern music. i just don't feel that he is in any way a fit for this gig. Sorry if I have hurt any feelings. HH
  16. I guess than that Perry Como is not alive anymore? HH
  17. It's all a ploy to get folks to the concession stands and buying beer during half time! HH
  18. Only those of us who have a pulse! His music, solo work, is akin to watching paint dry or grass grow. His work with the Police was over shadowed by both Andy and Stuart, the real talent in that band! HH
  19. Monster Truck!!!! HH
  20. Well, on the up side, the Lute player at the Toronto Symphony might make some extra coin from this gig! HH
  21. Sting has been announced as the half time show at the NBA all-star game. Now when I think of the NBA and specifically Toronto, the last name I would have come up with is Sting. Looking at the demographics of the NBA, I can't understand how he got the gig! At 66 years old and not having anything in the recent past that resembles a hit, how could he have gotten this gig? Doesn't Toronto have a few world class musicians currently riding a huge wave of popularity? Your thoughts on this? HH
  22. Mmmmmmm.... smelt!!!! My favorite! Pike bait that is! LOL HH
  23. If I heard this correctly on the news last night, the CEO was on a cruise when all this went down! She was informed, while on vacation that the finances were such that they would have to shut down. Obviously this didn't happen overnight and that the writing was on the wall well before the CEO took off for the sunny south. No regard for the the employees who did the work to line her pockets... Disgusting! I also heard that some private investors have stepped up to help them out. First order of business, fire that CEO! HH
  24. From what I have gathered, it seems that their cost of doing business, out stripped their income. Their rents have increased driving their overhead costs beyond their income. It boggles my mind how they could hire a CEO who has already proven that she cannot control budgets/costs. It is also my understanding that all GW's will remain closed until a solution is found. Typically, that solution will entail only the most profitable stores have a chance. HH
  25. Well, the mileage may have been low, but it is a 2008 and regardless of mileage, time will do nasty things to vehicles. HH
