  1. Well Cliff, I'm not sure I would go that route, especially where you live. I have a neighbour who bought a high end Ryobi last season as he has a matching Ryobi lawn mower which he is really happy with. The snow blower handles 2, 3,4" of dryish snow, he has a 50' single car driveway. However, the first heavy snowfall of 6-8" it bogged down and ran out of battery 2/3 down. Don't think it would be even close to handling the accumulation at the end of the driveway from the plow. Buy a higher end, mid size 4 stroke blower, don't go too big. Put chains on the drive wheels and it will go through 'most anything. I use gas treatment all season.
  2. Was in Ketchikan last year. It was amazing to watch the seals chase the salmon up the creeks...amazing place.
  3. I fished them almost exclusively for 5 or 6 years, (limited success). Accumulated probably $1000 + in Muskie baits. Always fished the same 3 or so..😳. Black and Orange spinnerbait, Same colour Double 10, Jailbird Believer, Clown Jerkbait.
  4. If you can I would suggest putting as much as you can on CC, exchange rate is more favourable than cash transactions. But yes, all banks and most stores, lodges etc accept US dollars at a rate of exchange. Banks will have their pound of flesh both ways, US to Cdn and Cdn to US.
  5. Awesome! Have fun you two!
  6. Are you using cheap stamped steel knives or a forged one. A good quality forged chefs knife and a decent steel to align the edge between sharpening are worth the investment.
  7. That's awesome Brian. You do great work and I'm glad you are starting to get some recognition! I wish you the best..
  8. Damn, you are just a baby!
  9. Not my thing, as you know, but hey market to the rappers 🙂. All of your designs are a thing of beauty so finish one and put it on line. I know you don't need the work but I would love to see it finished..
  10. Have fun you too. Work hard and play hard. Watch that Crown it messes with your head.😁
  11. I have always learned by doing, no matter what you are trying to learn . It's the best teacher around. Find a stretch of river or quiet lakeside and go for it. I walked my local stretch of river, pond or beach from around 10 years old 'till I came to Canada. Here, I did the same thing, not as often as I was married with marital responsibilities. You will learn what works and what doesn't and species in that water. As Art says be like a sponge and absorb knowledge from locals on and around the water, most will share their experience, if not their favourite spots...🙂
  12. What Terry said.
  13. Very, very cool Chris. Love it!👍
  14. Very cool. Will you adopt me please...:)
  15. Sounds like I will have to try it Simon. Going to get my fill of good ol' cod and chips this August.
  16. If anyone can put you on Muskies in the Larry it's Marc Thorpe. Mind, he is out of the Montreal area. Google him for contact info. I am guessing he may already be booked for the season.
  17. Don't remember the Zoo Board but joined OFC (OFC) back in the early days, probably more than 20 years ago. Posted a fair bit in the early years then things became silly and there were those that jumped all over anything that was posted. A little like the wild west, LOL. Was invited to an early days Lakair GTG and had a blast and never missed one, not sure how my liver survived but it did. Fond memories of those days and of those that are no longer with us. Some good, no, some great people on this site. Have ongoing long term friendships made at those Lakair GTG's. Thanks to TJ for the start up and thanks to those who maintained law and order over the years.
  18. Nope, hate you even more now...🤣
  19. Let me know Chris, I'll pick you up. I know where he lives....😁
  20. Welcome Kashan. I grew up in England fishing the rivers, float and fly fishing for trout and in the sea (North Sea) for cod, whiting, mackerel and anything else that would bite. I guess the drug is the tug as they say and I skipped school to satisfy my addiction. As I grew older, motorcycles, cars and girls got in the way and fishing took a back seat until I came to Canada in 1973. Then I discovered the wonderful bounty of Walleye, Bass, Northerns and Muskie. Be well and tight lines... John
  21. With respect, I think we have all gone electronics mad. There is a big difference between need and want. I see boats out there lit up and equipped like Christmas trees, do they all catch more, or bigger fish? To be honest, at my age, it's more of a distraction than a useful tool. My one 9" screen gets me where I am going, and back, and shows me what I am looking for in the water. Just my .02, not a criticism.
  22. Hi Lew. As a retired tire retailer and garage owner there is no such thing as warranty invalidation by not doing an alignment at the time of installation. I know the folks at Michelin and if they had changed their policies I would be aware. We offered a no charge alignment check to our customers and provided them with a print out showing the alignment of all wheels. If there was a problem we would explain it and suggest that they correct it. However, if they chose not to there was no immediate warranty invalidation. If they returned say a year later with a wear pattern problem then there might have been a discussion as to to why they had that issue..🙂

    Cheating

Just curious. Why are bass tournaments live release yet walleye tournaments are not? Maybe I have lead a sheltered life..😊
