Most people who are looking for a boat have a certain price range. A dual consol boat with a 90" beam would probably cost double what this model does. Kind of like telling someone who is considering a Hyundi Tucson that they should get a Range Rover or a Toyota Landcrusier instead. If I remember correctly this boat is rated for 40hp max. The base package comes with a twenty.

That is one of the boats that I considered. I ended up purchasing a Princecraft Holiday DLX SC. I think that the Princecraft is a much nicer boat and the price wasn't too much different. If you are willing to run a 50hp 2 stroke; then some of Legends other higher end models work out just as cheap. The 50hp 2 stroke is a couple of grand less than the 40 hp 4 stroke.

Actually this information is not accurate. Raw materials used in manufacturing are not subject to PST; so there is no savings there. Also, equipment and supplies used to manufacture goods are exempt from PST. I.e. a sewing machine used to produce clothing would not be subject to PST; oil to lubricate the machine would not be subject to PST. A forklift used to unload raw materials would not be subject to PST; a forklift used to load finished product is subject to PST. Grease to lubricate the raw materials forklift is exempt from PST while the grease used to lubricate the finished goods forklift is not exempt. One of the benefits of a harmonized tax is the it is much simpler to administer. There will be savings. A business will be able to claim an ITC for the provincial portion of the HST on all of the office equipment which is currently subject to PST.

If the federal government is forcing the provinces to adopt the HST then why are there still provinces that will not have a harmonized tax? B.C. and Ontario are the only provinces in the process of harmonizing their PSTs with the GST. Newfoundland, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia harmonized theirs years ago while the Chretian liberals were still in power. Quebec uses a similar method to GST but still collects administers their own taxes. PEI, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan will still have there own non-harmonized PST. Alberta, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon still do have PST. Don't let McGuinty fool you again. The federal government may have encouraged him; but this is McGuinty's decision.

When you say it looked like a pickerel are your referring to walleye, aka yellow pickerel? I have never heard of a fish that is shaped like a walleye with the markings of a pike. The other types of pickerel (chain, grass, and redfin) are shaped pike. Stating that it resembled one of these types of pickerel with the markings of a pike is basically stating that it is no different than a pike.

I have caught and anchor, snails, clams, rocks, and other lures. I once caught a half digested perch. I figure that it was in the through of a fish that I lost. I have also caught two flies. They laned on my my spool while I was reeling in, the line wrapped around them and trapped them.

Considerably less than Lund or Princecraft? Are you sure? Where are getting your prices from? I am sure they are a good boat; but they have always seemed expensive to me.

I would be worried about them charging me with an offence that I had not committed... If their compensation was based on how many fines they issue or convictions they achieve they may be tempted to bend the truth a little... or maybe a lot. I think that this is what people mean when they state that is would be a "confilict of interest". I do recall reading about some Ontario police offices being convicted of planting drugs ... so it does happen. More recently there have been allegations that police may have been taking kick backs from tow truck drivers with the new racing law; their hasn't been any proof to that one. So don't say that it couldn't happen; it already has. It will happen more often if cops or CO's got to keep a portion of the fines they issue.

They are doing exactly what they have need to do every year since the lockout... suck bad enough to get good draft choices so they can rebuild. Too bad they traded them away. I guess Boston fans are happy.

Being legally allowed to enforce the laws; and it being practicle for them to enforce the laws are two different things. It is one thing for police to issue tickets for fishing without a licence; it is another thing altogether for them to have to know all of the game and fish laws on top of the traffic laws and other laws that they need to know for their day jobs. Besides, if had 200+ OPP offices in the bush enforcing game and fish laws we would need to hire another 200+ cops to enforce traffic and criminal laws. Where's the savings in that?

I suspect that tourists are easier to catch than locals. Someone who has to transport their extra fish is more likely to be caught than the local who has a freezer full of fish in their basement. Plus the tourists are more likely to be fishing popular waters (lodges etc.) while the locals fish the more difficult to enforce back lakes. These factors make trying to judge the number of infractions based on newspaper articles misleading.

If the case goes to court the cost of the trial will likely exceed the fines in most cases. That is even before we take the cost of the CO into consideration. I believe that CO's salaries are similar to that of OPP officers. The papers sometimes report cases of police officers earning in excess of $100k with overtime. And that is just salary. When you add support staff to the office, benefits, etc., the $175k per does not seem too far out of line. More CO's mean more bosses and admin staff who cost money but don't issue fines. I don't think there is much of a chance of CO's covering their costs.

I to have the heater core in my 2005 Jimmy replaced. Does anyone have a mechanic in North York or Scarborough that they would recommend for this? I work at Yonge & Sheppard, it would probably be easiest to have it done close to work. The second choice would be close to home in Scarborough.

Actually, Highland Creek is one of the stocking sites for Chinook salmon. I believe their allotment is 17,000 per year. I checked the regs. It is indeed open all for rainbow, brown, and pacific salmon from the south side of Kingston Rd. to the lake. This is new; there never used to be an extended season on the creek.

Flooding would be a major reason for lack of spawning success in Highland Creek. That creek has major flooding problems during rainstorms. Bridges are regularily washed out on the creek. The university has tennis courts located about 100m from the creek; they get flooded. Any eggs laid in that creek will be in Lake Ontario after the first rain. Most trout spawning occurs in the upper tributaries of of the rivers. The headwaters of Highland Creek are very poor. They are mainly culverts ( I refer to them as aboe ground storm sewers ). These culverts are far too warm for trout to spawn successfully. Unlike most creeks and rivers, Highland Creek actually has cooler water towards the mouth than it has in the head waters. Also, unless the regulations for the creek have changed, there is no extended season for trout.

Metro East Anglers has supplied fish for school hatcheries in the past. We operate Ringwood Hatchery on highway 48 near Stouville. We will be there Wednesday evenings after 5:00pm and Sunday mornings starting at 9:00am to care for the Chinook eggs. I am with Royal. They are even more moronic with their holds. If I deposit a large amount, they won't even let me transfer it to another RBC account. I can understand them holding a withdrawl because they could actually be out of pocket if the cheque bounced; but preventing a transfer is just stupid. If the cheque bounces they just reverse the transfer, they money hasn't gone anywhere. To top it off; they charged me for insurance on my mortgage even though I had specifically stated that I did not want insurance on it. Then they refused to return the money. They eventually refunded 50%. The insurance company is a division of RBC so it didn't actually cost RBC anything to insure the loan. They pocketed money on their mistake. What ever you do not switch to the Royal Rip Off bank.

There isn't really any fixed conversion; your measuring three different things: horse power, volume or displacement, and torque. There will be some correlation, a large engine usually has more torque and more horse power, but not always. I don't that there is any formula where you can say that a 250cc engine will have X amount of horse power and Y amount of torque.

My son loves his tennis. He also enjoys curling, martial arts, and swimming. He enjoyed soccer for a couple of years but lost interest in that. We had him in piano, but he has now switched to guitar. I am not sure where you live but the Rouge canoe club in east end offers canoe camps during the summer. He also likes chess, the Pickering library has a free chess club for kids; he used to go there but now he doesn't have time.

I am a member of Metro East Anglers. We operate the fishway at Milne Dam in Markham. I know a few years back insurance suddenly became an issue with the fishway and any other activity that we were involved with. It may be co-incidental, but that is when the Guardian Program was cancelled. I suspect that insurance issues did play a part in the demise of the program.
