  1. Congrats Lew and your lovely bride. Doesn't surprise me you two have reached this milestone, good people for sure.
  2. Cliff I couldn't have said it better myself. Lew put me on my first musky and that is something I will never forget. I've spent a fair amount of time around Lew and they don't come any better. Good luck to you and the Mrs.
  3. Matt great report and your fishing partners are growing up. Awesome stuff and thanks for sharing
  4. Excellent report and picture taking J! Thanks for sharing
  5. Jeff, sorry to hear about your wife. I wish you and her the best. Bummer on the Lakair deal, it is/was a special place and I always enjoyed going there. Even my son that doesn't really like to camp enjoyed going there and just the other day asked me about the place. I met and made a lot of friends going there, it will be missed
  6. Is that something that is mandatory??
  7. Wayne the three other guys on the couch are the lucky ones. Good to see you get out enjoy your place and do some fishing.
  8. Sounds like you've made your mind up Flex, good for you. I live minutes off I75 at went to FLA many times and also have traveled up your more that that. There are zero tolls down 75 all the way to Sarasota from Detroit. The only toll is the bridge to cross the border, just came through there a few months back and since the have the construction work done it's a lot nicer/easier to get on I75 south than it was in the past. As far as the drive, coming through MI and Ohio for the most part is the same as driving from Toronto to Windsor. Once you cross the Ohio River is does get more scenic in Kentucky, Tennessee and north Georgia. Ohiofisherman is right about the rest of Georgia though. jjcanoe's first post about leaving 75 heading east over to NC is spot on, very scenic, and that avoids the trouble spot on 75 As far as speeding, keeping it at under 10mph over the speed limit will generally keep you out of any trouble down here as long as your not weaving through traffic. Wear your seat belt! They will ticket you in a heart beat for noncompliance on that. Have a safe trip an enjoy yourself.
  9. I'm with you on this one Wayne, although my woes only go back the past three years 2016 has to get better. Cheers
  10. Merry Christmas Art and please pass this greeting along to your brother Joe please. Cheers
  11. Merry Christmas to you too Lew. Just having my kids together and some good eats is good enough for me
  12. If there is anyone that deserves a reward it's Wayne and it will come. Just spending that much time on the water is probably something he needed. Wayne spent some quality time on the water with good people, so not all was lost.
  13. Don't mean to laugh, but I thought the way you told the story it was funny. Glad to hear you had a happy ending I've had a few interesting crossings myself , one of the worst was coming home
  14. Lucky you Rich, it's not cheap. Do you have a front plate? I even got a bill one trip just from the trailer plate, a buddy of mine was pulling my boat with his truck, no bill for him but I was charged and paid I pay up, don't want to chance being denied entry over a few dollars.
  15. Nope not true. Every time I have used the 407 I've been sent a bill and had to pay.
  16. I wish I would have done the three year this time around. I hate carrying the paper license
  17. Wish I was a couple hours closer
  18. WOW What a beast! Thanks for sharing Lew
  19. What an awesome account of another Bunk adventure. I've said this before, your writing and photo's are second to none. I loved the way you injected your definition of "guiding" and your take on nasty people that we have deal with once in awhile. Thanks for your hard work!
  20. Thanks Brian It was a fantastic day with family and food
