Wayne in the words of thr Irish Rovers "may you be half way to heaven before the devil knows your dead" lol , thats ok appluma, its not a bad word, I checked with my wife, just kidding Those pictures you took repairing your auger helped another member 4000 ish miles away. Dave and I should have it running tomorrow if they have the parts, and yes I like the idea of reversing the shaft. At the end of the day this board has more similarities than differences, and thats what makes it stand out. Cheers Blizz

Welcome to the board, you will enjoy it, sorry I am not familiar with fishing in that area but some of the members will help you. -
Cleaning oil spill.... NF from car seat
mr blizzard replied to jedimaster's topic in General Discussion
With the oil going into the foam I would think it will continue to bleed thru, outside of replacing the foam your own solution will be the best remedy -
Looked like the backdrop to the wizard of oz, how do u explain that to the insurance lol

Looking for an ice update T-Bay, Nakina, Armstrong area?
mr blizzard replied to chris.brock's topic in General Discussion
Check with limyangler and old man, they are in the area. My brother and a couple of others from the MTP and Toronto Fire have been driving to Thunder Bay and then flying 1 hour north east to a lake for 18 years, they go up the same time every year, 3rd week of May. 4 years back they had to bail re ice on the lake, 2nd week of June it was not an issue. -
Can't take my mind off of spring whitefish

Same as Bill said, nothing changes except your fishing in a boat. -
Check out one at Canadian Tire product number 11 1505, it has conventional, deep cycle and agm. You can also go to full charge to boost your car truck etc. I bought this one 6 or 7 weeks ago after a discussion with some fellow member, ou wont be dissappointed, PS talk nice to the manager and try to get it for the sale price, approx 40% off.

thats the bottom line, but not everyone up here works for the govt or the mines but they expect you to pay thru the nose as if u do

Welcome, that was my favourite cartoon , JUST DON'T MOVE TO YELLOWKNIFE, you won't have any money left to buy lures or ice agers lol, welcome look forward to your postings, just my little rant about parking tickets and ice augers, I'll go to bed now.

Thanks Wayne, appreciate the help, hopefully the season is not over yet Art you have to see it to believe it, further north I have saw pics of them drilling thru 11 feet of ice. When are u having a garage sale, I knew I should have not waited to check with my wife

I am starting to see how this town really works, oh yea and they give u a STUPID parking ticket as u are walking up back to your truck when you are 2 MINUTES over the time limit, maybe they are related,, and they have commercials saying SUPPORT your local businesses, continue ranting Dave, I dont blame u for being upset.

Thanks Dave.

Terry I know your good at fixing trailer issues, ever been to Yellowknife are they difficult to replace. I might have to have some shipped in.

Yes your right, it would normally idle till throttled up Thanks I will take it apart tonite, thanks for the pictures, the manual got lost in the move, are the clutch pads reasonably priced, if the shaft is worn can it be built up, and again thanks

I know alot of you are looking to get out on the soft water, but it is going to be a while before it happens up here. I have a jiffy auger approx 6 years old, been a sweet machine for me. Today I was almost thru the 48 inches of ice when it stalled. Before today with the engine off you could spin the handles counter clockwise freely. Now when you go to restart it as you are pulling the cord the auger wants to turn as well. When you rotate the handles counterclockwise with it off you hear a gravely type sound, Any help is appreciated as labour rates are ridiculous here as most other spots. The motor does run. Thanks and much appreciated, John

My buddy back in Barrie uses and likes them he has success down to approx. 30 feet, uses around BBP quite a bit. I stayed with the dipsey diver on lake Muskoka, found that I could get down to 50 feet, even though my arms were 3 inches longer after an hour of trolling lol, The trip mechanism on the fish seeker seems a bit easier to work with, but overall he is very happy with them.

Right on

Great advice, hopefully the boaters wont act like some of the first sledders on the first skim of ice. Be patient, and let the water levels drop exposing any hazards, then eveyone wins.

Trailer loading guides for your boat NF
mr blizzard replied to davey buoy's topic in General Discussion
I like all the above, pro shop looks good, like mentioned I had some round steel fence posts left over, took the to Midas and they used the tail pipe bender to get the shape I needed, then weled them to a steel plate, then attached the rig to the trailer with 2 bolts and wing nuts, I take them off the trailer while transporting the boat, -
