Thanks guys They are called country style loin ribs, not made spaecial by the butcher just plain old ribs on the shelf wrapped in styrofoam and shrink wrap We used to go half and half on a cow with my brother back when we were in Barrie Just one problem there are no farms up here lol Thank God we have whities and lakers though, I think I will go and fire up the ice auger Cheers Blizz

We buy the sweet and sour spare ribs for the bbq a couple of times a month, and they are sooooooooo good. They are plain ribs cut in 1 1/2 strips, roughly 2kg to a pack. In the summer we were buying them at the store for $24 to $27 a pack Now they are$58 to $61 for the same package I have heard meat fish and poultry were going up 3 to 5 % but 100%? Up till 2 or 3 months ago the prices were not that far off of Alberta. What are prices like in your area. The kicker is the butcher admitted if they dont sell they just throw it out anyways. Blizz

Stonefish, Fisherman and Sinker thanks so much for the advice, The boat is actually 42 years old, we have had it for 16 years. Lots of great memories on it with our now 19 yr. old son. Really dont want to damage the boat. Looks like a 5 or 10 year old vessel except for the nostalgic colour scheme LOL. Cheers Blizz

We have an old 16 ft fiberglass Glastron, but still in great shape. The old c channel steel trailer is getting tired and cracked. Pickings are slim up here when it comes to finding a trailer but we finally lucked in and got a sweet deal on a Karavan trailer used but only four years old. My question is how should the bunks that the boat slides onto be placed. Should they be placed to fit between the strakes or can the strakes rest on the bunks. Currently the old rubber rollers which have turned into a rock like consistency lol have always been positioned so that the strakes fit on top of them. Any advice is appreciated as we would like to get the old boat on the newer trailer before freeze up. It has a 90hp on it Thanks in advance Blizz

Great report, should have stopped over for a coffee. Like was previously stated they dont expect a lot of improvement till the fall Six weeks of smoke poor air quality road closures for days at a time plus bare shelves has its moments....BUT the fishing is good. Glad u had a great experience

LOL GOOD ONE but all the wires are factory and one is truly half red and half black, and the other is red with a black sheathing over top, again factory, now i know why I did not play with a rubics cube lol

Sorry there is also a thin red wire which has a factory black sheating over it

Quick question My son replaced our atv battery last spring. The battery froze and we just replaced it with an agm. Our hand warmers used to work but now they do not. I think he has hooked up some wiring to the battery wrong. Question....there is a wire that is half red and half black...which terminal should it go on. Thanks for any assistance Blizz

As many know we moved up here 2 years ago, left the Barrie area. Ontario allowed the use of gaffs for ice fishing BUT they are not allowed in the NWT. Many times you can land a fish without one but when u are up an ice road a 100 miles from anything it is nice on occassion to use a gaff on a fish u know u are going to bring home especially with the windchill factors u can encounter. I have a meeting with the fisheries tomorrow and would appreciate a list of the provinces that allow them, even the COs could not totally understand it Thanks in advance John

Just heard the news, I do not know the family BUT my heart goes out to the family members. To any members who may have had associations with the family, when the right time comes give my regards as this unfortunate incident had the investigation very near to my old home.
