  3. You should have gone to the auction with Purenewf LOL
  4. Ultimately the final decision is yours as it is your money you are spending and most importantly you have to buy a machine that best suits your needs. There are many names on the market that are very much on par with each other. Having lived in behind the Younge St arena at Victoria we had many years of direct access to Lake Simcoe as well as the joy of riding some amazing trails thru Muskoka and Haliburton. Now having had 2 winters in Yellowknife with temps from plus 30 in the summer to -53 in the winter I feel the same 2 machines that we had in Innisfil WHICH are the same 2 machines that we have in Yellowknife are tried and tested as any machine can get. Yes they are a solid axle Polaris 400 chain driven plus a 500 polaris shaft drive. The only thing I have replaced is a battery. The 500 we use for plowing and ice fishing as well as the 400 for icefishing. They are no different than cars or trucks, you push them too much, be prepared to pay . Any of them will encounter issues from time to time Once u make your purchase enjoy.......there alot of fun
  5. Good luck and I hope u find what your after but be careful on prices. Lived 3 miles from there for 18 years and frequented the auction countless times. For the purchase of our 2 sleds and 2 atvs in each and every case we walked away from the auction without buying and on the 4 sepeate purchases got a better product for much less money on kijiji. The purchases took us from Carp to Callender but well worth it. Too many people bidding on too few items.

  20. First off, too bad the tragidy happened, my prayers go out to the family . Having served 15 years as an auxillary I have saw many things including people who played with trains and lost, there is no need to go on. The point is your friend tried to help, but based on the info he received, the initial responders assured him everything was in control and his services were appreciated but not required. However many people do not know how to react when they first approach a situation like that. They stop to offer assistance with the best of intentions but are not totally aware of what they may see. Shock will sometimes set in not just for the injured but also for the initial people stopping to offer assistance, They become focused on helping with the people that they see in front of them. And unfortunately without asking questions, the injured may not be of the state of mind to mention who else was travelling with them etc. Without fault some others forgot to acertain these things. And no one knows if it would have made a difference. Again everyone tried to do the very best and it is nice to see in this world that lives will be saved by people who are willing to stop and lend a hand to help others. There is still some compassion in this world .
  21. Great pictures of the owl and deer, it looks pretty tranquil there, I think anybodys blood pressure would go right down after spending a couple of days there, looks absoutely beautiful. I was a little upset that you don't icefish very much being a true Canadian and a member of the OFC....LOL..........But if I lived where u live I now know I would be spending a great deal more time in the winter onland .........Open up a bed and breakfast please and thank you
