  1. Go to the strip joint... We did that for my brother, and for the 10 of us that went that was the best trip there ever... as for her being pissed off... if he's that scared of her now, what's gonna happen after the wedding? LOL Seriously though he should lay down the law now, or he's gonna be a "papuca" in my language... means slipper=Wife wears the pants... and going and not telling her doesn't count... he's gotta fess up to it before, that shows her who's boss this is how it should go... Her: where are you going for bachelor party? Him: to the strip joint Her: No you're not!! Him: I'm not asking for permission, i'm Telling you... Her: I forbid you! Him: Yeah Yeah, file that under "W" for whatever Her: If you loved me you wouldn't go... (crying) Him: If you trust me, you shouldn't worry, and if you don't trust me, then why are we getting married? Her: No you're not going, Her: If you go don't come back! Him: Again, I'm not asking for permission, i'm notifying you of what is going to happen If he folds now, he's just neutered himself for the rest of his life... he's not even married and he's scared of her already... man how times have changed... Ask yourself this... Would your dad ask your mom if he's "allowed" to go... I only hope that my trip to the "Jiggly room" is half as good as my bro's and i'll be a happy man...
  2. No, you forgot it and i kept my mouth closed to teach you a lesson...
  3. I'll second that... Joe is Top Notch!!
  4. Same thing happened a year or 2 back... My GF got the call... same thing from the spring fishing show... somewhere off of Airport Rd... SCAM Club Par Excellence was the "miracle savings" i had some fun with it... don't waste your time...
  5. the video should help... going into manual settings will definitely give you a better picture of what's underneath... like everything, it'll take some time to figure out what is what... surface clutter, water depth upper and lower, scroll speed, cone angle, sensitivity are the ones that i usually fiddle with... every sonar out of the box should read bottom if the transducer is properly mounted
  6. Hey Lew... with the handheld units, you won't get much range... the coast gaurd will get your signal, but other boats in the area might not... handheld units are 1-5 Watts, fixed base arer 1-25 i believe... after being stranded out on Erie a while back... we were unable to reach boats in the area (less then 10miles away) we could however communicate with coast gaurd Sarnia... it's pretty much the same price for a cheaper fixed base unit compared to a handheld... they do have 3 foot amplified antennas also...
  7. I've got the one on the right for sale... Standard Boat Bracket with LCR mount... Brand New... and it's 100% deburred... (anyone who bought one, knows it was sharp everywhere...) $75
  8. that'll be an awesome Kill shot!!
  9. Go with a long shaft... it'll ensure your prop stays in the water when the waves are unpleasent...
  10. it's not a recliner.... that's why you're killing the seat... Call me, i'll tell you how to get around no shipping to Canada if you want to order them...
  11. Good seeing you again paul... can't wait to get out for our rubber lipped friends...
  12. Is it still gonna be that piece of crap paper as a licence? i kept mine in my wallet, and the thing went blank... what the heck??? hopefully they make a hard plastic card... (blank paper/licence was replaced at no cost to me once i mailed them my old/blank one...) as for the increase, it's quite a step up percentage wise... difference being the US do stock lots of fish, way more then Canadians, and they negotiate water access with land owners to help fisherman gain access to fishing grounds... too bad that doesn't happen here in Ontario, there's more & more NO FISHING signs coming up year after year... for the 2 or 3X a year i fish NY, i'm still on the wall about wether or not i'm gonna renew... 1st year i got mine, i didn't use it once... Phil, our dollar was higher for maybe 1 year, how many years have we been getting shafted with a lower dollar?
  13. building it yourself will cost you way more $$ bottom line... there is a huge difference in $$ when building a house, and a quality house... If you plan on moving ever, then just buy a house prebuilt/to be built If you plan on staying there forever, then build it yourself... a buddy of mine built a house for himself... it finished at around 400K and it's not a monster of a house either that was house only, and he did a lot of work himself... that 400K didn't include the property, finished basement, landscaping, driveway, furniture. But it's a quality home, more energy efficient, better built, quality materials, etc... (he plans on never moving and the initial investment to him was worth it...) know what you're getting into...
  14. no worries, PM away... LOL
  15. it does track plotting, not chart plotting... i've got the same unit, if you have any questions PM me...
  16. Congrats Bud!!
  17. then go to a humminbird at 5" with 640x640 res and 4000W... and cheaper... personal preference is what it comes down to...
  18. nice... but load your rods up way more.... it'll be nearly impossible to see a strike try mounting a couple of titeloks close to the rigger, it'll be easier to remove the rods on a strike, and it'll allow you to load the rods up... plus when you're bass fishn you can unscrew it, and it won't be in your way... 2nd is take the line counter off the rod... you stand a good possibility of losing it if the rod fires...
  19. I'll second Natural Wonders Angling... Joes a great Guy, and you definitely won't be dissappointed He's got 2 boats, one for the Lake and 1 for the river top notch!!
  20. Do scuba diving if you can... Andrea and I did and it was awesome... after the initial training, scuba diving after that was $10 more then a snorkeling trip...
  21. the side imaging units can be use as a regular sonar also... they perform well here are some pics... http://imageevent.com/okoboji_images/hummingbirdsideimaging best bang for your buck is humminbird...
  22. Went out to Cooks Bay with one of my customers who's never ice fished... Beauty day to be out, 3 things though, 1. Should have left the hut in the Envoy 2. Should have brought the 4.5" auger and left the 8" at home 3. Should have bought minnows on the ice for 7:30 and off by 3:30... worked various depths 22, 9, 19, 31 it was a slow pick at them... all fish were released to fight another day Great day to be out except for the sunburn...
  23. Awesome... Congrats
