  1. I have some friends who access a cottage (only a few on Rib Lake) a couple times per year. They catch some big walleye but no real #s. The 2 of them will only catch 6-8 eyes on a weekend trip. They have fished the lake for more than 10 years and still can't locate any #s. Just the odd one here and there. Average size of the ones they caught last summer were 22"-24".
  2. For me....Walmart is down the road and Costco is down the highway (in Sudbury). Easy choice.
  3. I PM'd you. The creek runs right through the city.
  4. Great report Ryan. Kids are really holding their own in the boat now. You're crazy for swimming this early. LOL. May long weekend is earliest I've ever "intentionally" went in the drink.
  5. All those new places are built on the old rail lands.
  6. Yep. They are running right through the city. Not a full run yet. Just starting.
  7. Saw the suckers running in the creek today so decided I would bring the boys on a walk (less then a block from my house) and see if we could get some. They fought about who had the bigger branch, who would hold the worms, the little one (Karter) doesn't like to be helped by big brother (Alex). Karter wanted to cross the road several times as we were fishing on a bridge and the suckers were running under it. Anyways, we managed to get 2 on and landed one. Never measured it but probably around 17". Hook and worm.
  8. I have a Yamaha part on back order for my 90hp and it won't be in until June 8th (this is from Yamaha not the dealer). Good thing my boat is still useable. I'll wait until the part is in then bring it back to them. Does the dealership have other Yam tillers? Maybe they could loan you one (more or less hp) until yours comes in? A friend of mine just bought an 1875 Crossover from a dealership in Sudbury and had no issues.
  9. Great report Mike and Fidel and BEAUTY Brookies.

  14. I once ran through Champlain Provincial Park in the EARLY morning hours laughing hysterically until I ran into a clothesline. Not sure what was most sore the next day my chest from hitting the clothesline or my face from smiling soooooo much. Oh ya...we`re talking about Morels.

  21. That is a slot sized fish so I'm guessing you released it.
  22. Yep a rock bass (that is crappie to catch). We get them pretty big here in a few local lakes and they can get really dark mid summer.
  23. What about the plane they fly?
  24. I run the same version of Premium on my HDS5 and it does the trick for me on Nipissing. Not nearly as accurate as the maps Garmin has but still gets me around.
