  1. Stellar report Drew. On my bucket list for sure.
  2. Andrew and Chad........ Nipissing is only closed for walleye and yellow perch. Lake is still open for bass, pike, musky, etc. until Nov. 31st. Sleepjigging, If you are going to fish up here in November, I would target bass, pike, or walleye. Lakes like Nosbonsing and Tallon are good options if you are bringing a boat.
  3. HUGE!
  4. Sorry for your loss Paul. My condolences.
  5. Simon, Was the moose leg left along the road from a harvest?Nice fishing and shooting.
  6. I picked up 4 of them (Stearns Model 139) for $100. I really couldn't go wrong.
  7. Great link Slowpoke. I have never read that section before. Thanks.
  8. You could leave it inflated and continue to use it legally for the rest of the trip. The manual ones I bought have the deflation/inflation tube as well.
  9. Way to go Terry. Spin or Pin? Looks like the far bank eh?
  10. Thanks guys. I will keep a few regular PFDs in the compartments. I bought these to wear......so I hope I do. I always wear one if my boy(s) are in the boat so as to set a good example.
  11. Now, I understand that life jackets are made to be worn when in a boat and that they work best when you are wearing them but I generally have mine hanging on my seat. I recently purchased a couple of Stearns Model 139 manually inflating life vests (have to pull handle to inflate) and a buddy told me that they HAVE to be worn according to legislation. Anyone know if this is law?
  12. I watched it too and seems to me they complained alot about the high water levels and cold water temps. Duh.....it is May in Northern Ontario....what did they think?
  13. Skip. Good thing that tank in front didn't blow up.
  14. Nice looking boat. Did you buy it in the States?
  15. What about the Nitro you have listed in the classifieds?
  16. Is it possible that the chipmunks had some nuts stored (hidden) in the trough?
  17. How about a wing eating contest Dan? We can throw in some coin and split the pot 50/50 with the camp.
  18. Does the girl on the tread mill need a partner? I can handle a tread mill (for a couple minutes). I watched 1:27 - 1:29 of the video twice . This is a great idea and I'm sure it will be a success. Kudos to you.
  19. Water that has been treated and distributed to your home is safer then any bottled water!
  20. My new career has me working in water and waste-water. I just came back from Barrie where I took a week long water course put on by Walkerton Clean Water Centre. According to the instructor the Grand River is an absolute horror story. There are lots (I think 7) waste-water treatment plants on the river and although they follow strict Ministry of Environment standards there is still minute ammounts of harmfull chemicals in the effluent that accumulate in the water. Add to that industrial site dumpage/spills, septic tank leechate, city water run-off, and agricultural waste and the river is full of contaminants. Pretty scarry that several communities draw ther water from the Grand.
  21. Nope. Walleye fishing in 25 fow. Just a treble and an emerald shiner.
