  4. Thanks CC...how much do you charge for lessons?? LOL. I'd seriously like to hook up with you some time....as long as your not heading out to your secret spots etc. I wont even put my line in the water...I'll just watch the master at work!!!! I have yet to land a steelie....tried local tribs about 7 times....had one on...and that was it...hehe. Great stuff...always love reading your reports.
  5. Awesome CC! I wish I could fish during the daylight...LOL. I saw a float in one of your pics....does bottom fishing work too? I'm assuming since the tribs...at least the smaller ones are low and clear that they are hanging around structure near the trib mouth...I'll have to try that this weekend maybe...
  6. Wow...the power is just unbelievable!!! I wouldn't want to be on that boat...fishing or not!!!
  7. Buster...thanks! We already checked into it...so that's an option for sure.
  8. Like Terry mentioned, Walleye on Lake O are closed Feb and March...their typical spawning period. Here's an excerpt from the Govt of Canada's site.... "Normally, spawning begins shortly after ice breaks up in a lake, at temperatures of 7° to 9°C but has been known to occur over a range of from 6° to 11 °C. Courtship may commence much earlier when water temperature is at 1°C. The males move to the spawning grounds first. These are usually rocky areas in flowing water below impassible falls and dams in rivers and streams, coarse-gravel shoals, or along rubble shores of lakes at depths of less than 2 m. " As you can see...for Lake Ontario, this would correspond to the Feb/March time period. Feb for courtship and March for spawning.
  9. LOL Roy...you really like to stir the pot....that was hilarious!
  10. Entropy and others have been updating this thread.... http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1291 Latest entry was conditions Tuesday night.

  12. Hey Zack...no problem...that's what we are here for!
  13. Guess I got here too late for my 2 cents. We've had problems with rust on the battery leads that lead to intermittent problems. We just cleaned the rust off and it worked great.
  14. Oh man...tib and fib! Hoping you have a speedy recovery.
  15. If the weather is bad, I intend to be fishing....LOL. Blyght and I fish in the snow, wind and rain in December...so rain and wind in June would be luxury for us...LOL
  16. Slippery?
  17. Ummm...Rick...I know the reports are slow these days but..... Have you nothing better you could be doing??? LOL. It is funny tho....hehe
  18. I understand your pain Zack! Our phone number is very similar to the Home Depot in our area and we constantly get people calling and asking if we have stuff in stock. Since I work for Canadian Tire, I'm thinking of telling them that we dont have it, but Canadian Tire does....LOL. Also...when telemarketers call, I have the urge just say "hold on a sec" and then put the phone down and wait until they hang up...
  19. I learned how to snell a hook a few weeks ago. Took me forever to tie the first few...then it was easy! I thought it would be hard cause I was using small 6 lb flurocarbon line....but it wasn't that bad. Here's a video.... One thing...it shows how to wrap the first one around...then it skips it with the rest of the animation....just keep on wrapping like the first time. This will make sense when you see the vid and then try it. This link shows all of this guys videos...he has vids that show how to tie lots of different knots... http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=madkeen2 Good luck!
  20. LOL...we dont have a boat...so maybe no one will offer spaces to us in theres.... Then again...we've had all our success from shore, so maybe ppl will take us on a boat to get us off the docks....haha. I'd love to hook into a Muskie actually!!!!
