  1. Rick- I have not been on the site in a long long time and I'm sorry to hear your not at the top of your game right now. The doctor will get you fixed up good! My family and I will be saying a few prayers for you! Keep strong and keep looking to tomorrow it will be better. Stephen
  2. I was on that bridge twice yesterday and last week at least a dozen times. The bridge was inspected within the last year and a half and given a clean bill of health. Either something was missed or the inspector did not do a good job. They were working on the bridge doing re-surfacing but were not doing anything structural. This is very sad for a lot of families now waiting to hear word. 20 or so missing.
  3. stupid question.... Why dont they stabalize it. Why do we have to? We are paying for this right?
  4. i'll hang there for a bit. I know I'm late but is anyone still up?
  5. Thanks really go to Chris as it was his talent and dedication to the art of fishing pole building. He certianly does a fantastic job as I now have 2 of them in our house, They are great Blanks that Chris puts together extremely well. Much thanks to Lorne for his involvement. We should also put out a thanks to Rick for starting the thread to clue us in that we all an chance to help out. Just glad to be here on the sidelines and helping out as needed. Thanks go to TJ as well. Rob, Chris and Nichole have a good time this summer and I hope to see a post with some smiles! - Steven
  6. Roy- That must have been a blast pulling them up like that. Thanks for the info on how you did the magic. Keep smiling Steven
  7. these thing's were always around when my dad had a bunch of 4 o'clock flowers planted on the side of the house. they are big.
  8. I saw that on a cable channel once. cant remember which one. Looked pretty cool. I think they were testing in Asia on Fork lift's in busy market areas to cut down on emmisions in enclosed area's. I think this is the one I saw.. http://www.theaircar.com/ Not to hijack the thread but.... I also was just talking to a guy that said if you put acetone into your gas you pick up about 15% to 20% increase in gas mileage.... VERY SMALL AMOUNT. something like 1 or 2 oz per 10 gallons. it works as a wetting agent and lets your gas vaporize better and hence is more efficient use of your gas.
  9. PigeonFisher said it very well.... Brothers helping brothers
  10. I will get somthing is on it's way tomorrow. I appreciate you leeting us know someone is in need. I'm always glad to help when it is needed. Glad to be a part of OFC. - Steven
  11. Spiel- Wow the whole lot of them are beautiful. Can wait until the you ship the best looking one to my wife! She just saw it and loves it! Sorry you lost sleep time because of my wife. Now she wont be stealing the one I got from you last year. You are a true Craftsman Hope you have a good weekend! - Steven
  12. Not do Hijack the thread but...... Would the soap help get rid of night crawlers? I got way too many of em....
  13. I would have to strongly agree on the getting the zero turn type mower. I have a steering wheel and over half of my mowing time is spend just turning the dang thing around. My buddy next door has a zero turn and he does his lot in almost half the time it takes me. less time moving = more time fishing and less wear and tear on the mower.
  14. Based on my experiances with home depot I only buy things there when I have to. If I have to ask them a question on anything then I will get my stuff elsewhere. They are usually incorrect. I know it should not be that way but I have gotten better service from other stores. I would rather spend the money an go to a smallercabinet shop. have them give you a design layout you like order the cabinets do the tearout yourself ( should be real easy ) and let them install. I have met a few folks that their companies do installs for HD and they all say that they will do it cheaper all by themselfs and will do a better job when there name is on the line and not home depots.
  15. Found this on an web site.... Might not be too bad. Just really wish stuff like this did not happen in the foirst place, Maybe better pacakaging of the product could of helped.... who knows at this point. What effect might cumene (1-methylethylbenzene) have on the environment? Cumene evaporates when exposed to air. In the air it is reacted quickly into other chemicals, in the water and soil bacteria break it down. It has moderate acute (short-term) toxicity on aquatic life, and high acute toxicity to birds. Insufficient data are available to predict the toxicity of cumene to plants and land animals. It has moderate chronic (long-term) toxicity to aquatic life. Cumene is expected to minimally bioaccumulate. How might cumene (1-methylethylbenzene) enter the environment? Industrial emissions of cumene can produce elevated concentrations in the atmosphere around the source. Because of its short life expectancy in the atmosphere cumene is expected to be confined to the local area within which it is emitted. Cumene that makes its way into the ground, and does not evaporate, is degraded in the water with in days. Because cumene is used in many consumer products , and found in tobacco smoke, short-term indoor concentrations may be elevated above the levels considered safe for workers. Where in the environment does cumene (1-methylethylbenzene) end up? Cumene evaporates to a gas if released as a liquid. It will break down in the air in a few days into other chemicals (isopropylphenols). In the water (very little will enter the water) bacteria will break it down in three to ten days. Cumene is a volatile organic chemical (VOC) and will contribute to the formation of smog.
