Crusty's afraid we may actually prove that them "Grand Mother's Chryslers" he drives..aint what they were 20 years ago... 3 hours plowing snow drifts today in my uncomfortable '98 Sierra seat, with that crappy over pressurizing power steering doing it's own thing is enough for this week. Thankfully Dano and mine's midnight run North on Friday am will be in the comfort of my F150 Super crew seats.

Mike...I've looked and looked and I don't have a picture of my porta-bote dolly. I put the whole boat together..set it up on the dolly..install the 5HP motor..put in the fuel tank and all my gear in and walk it thru the PPark to the beach/launch where ever I can get to the water. Tie a rop to the dolly and another to the boat and push it in..pull the dolly out from under it without getting wet. Dolly is nothing more than an axle with a couple plastic wheels (size of an old mustang bike) that are held on by quick clips and the axle has mounted to it a couple of pads about 2 feet long that go against the boat bottom. Bungee cords hold the dolly under the boat..simply hooked to the gunnels.

See the other 2 or 3 threads that are already up on this....it's 40 pages..nobody is going to scan and post it. -
Penetang has a beautiful three lane cement launch that you could put a boat in with a Citron...I just refuse to pay to use it as a tax paying resident. Midland has a nice two lane launch in Peterson Park and well set up so you can get the boat ready while someone else is launching. Parking is for town of Midland permit holders only though...but there aren't any no parking signs out on Sunnyside Drive's shoulder.....

Hey..quit larfing at me buddy! Great stuff Greg...I'd break 2 lb on the hook set...LOL -
Gerritt...how the H do you think a company that is nothing but "paper" (ie doesn't mfg anything) can afford to put their name on the National Trade Center. Fellas like your buddy are part of what's driving up pricing in Ontario. I hear yah Terry got oil last week 84.9...and I take about 500 litres every 18 days right now. Thinking of selling a kid or something...

Darn near EVERY part in the automotive industry is from the lowest bidder..from seat belts to light bulbs so you can't base a vehicle on that. Trust me...and GM is the worst with their parts quoting requesitions for brow beating and price discounts in future years. Standard policy is to quote a price and then while material costs increase they want to see a 3 or 4% price reduction on piece price in the 2nd/3rd and 4th year if a continuation part. Their thoughts are you will have learned to streamline it's production and increase output volume per same cost..thus lowering the piece price. Reality is.... to meet said price reductions...quality suffers due to faster cycle times/assembly. Been there...done that..for 22 years! And by the way...Toyota has the same piece price structure on their request for quotes...

LOL Tony...worry about the boat first ! Oh and you could get a skidoo trailer and pull with what you have... Already gave Jim an earful about his "dry humour"...he won't be stating such things to anyone else he doesn't know.

Sorry Dax..you need to work your way thru it to find the culprit. Take a heavy piece of insulated wire, bare the ends and jump from the battery side of the large cables lug on the starter solenoid to the small input wire to the starter solenoid. If it engages right away then you have a key switch or wire from it to solenoid problem. Not sure if the Yamaha has a combo solenoid/starter but if they are seperate and it's still slow to engage trying what I just suggested... then try booster cable sized wire/or the cable itself..clip it to the stater + lug and hit it to the + on the battery or battery side lug on the solenoid. If you get immediate engagement then...you have a solenoid problem. CAUTION...and what Nippissing said. The above solenoid jumper won't work if it's negative feed to it.

Every "bus kid" in Simcoe County, Honey Harbour and Parry Sound is stranded at school. Boards pulled all buses off the road...even though many had already pulled into their appropriate school yard for pick up. Gonna be a long night for them and whom ever is supervising...cause many parents aren't going to risk picking them up. -
Could be the key switch itself not making contact immediately..the starter solenoid or the starter itself..or any wire connection in between.
