  1. DANG.. my memory bank does still work!!!! ... from time to time!! lol
  2. Yep batteries in CTC and you have to hold two buttons down to program it's code to the motor. Can't remember which, but I think it's just the + and - speed buttons at the same time.
  3. Mine is now 9 seasons old.... man where does the time go. I JUST had to replace one of my foot pedals batteries this summer. My "key fob" and second pedal are on the original batteries. I downrigg for Lakers with mine on calm days... sitting in the back of my 22' Lund and controlling the trolling motor usually with the key fob. Been zero issues, other than you need to keep an eye on the housing screws for tightness.
  4. One minor snow fall and here we are....
  5. Just don't get stupid and put yourself to sleep for good with an unvented source of heat. Anything that burns fuel is not a safe indoor heater. Why I stick with my drafty Frabil ice hut as I know fresh air is getting in while I burn that sunflower!
  6. Some Purdy fish there for sure. Good shoot'in.
  7. Type Tomiko in the search window and it will bring out about a dozen threads... here's the most recent one. http://ontariofishingcommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=79036&hl=tomiko
  8. "Past" toys is hard for me Art... as I'm a pack rat. Only cars of vintage I ever got rid of was the '76 Volare that I bought of Leah's father for $300 bucks in 1985 or so. Still have the '77 Ramcharger I bought right after Leah and I where married in '82, although it is about 6" lower now. Still have my '69 Bee that I bought from my father in 1979 (he bought it new) and the only real new addition to MY car toys I bought in 1989 while on a business trip to McAllen Texas, my '70 Superbird that I couldn't pay for and load for transport fast enough and sent it home. In 1992 I bought Leah a piece of plastic for our 10th Anniversary that she is currently telling me to sell. Pictures of the ramcharger, the 'Bee and the 'Bird with the 'Bee and Vette in the shop last fall. As many know the Bee is in pieces, some of it shown above that had Sterling questioning value. Problem with restoring old cars these days is that a single part can cost more than the original MRSP of the car. My father bought the 'Bee new for about $2800 + tax. I have more than that in new dash panels, pads, bezels and a repro tic tock tach. Parts on the floor Sterling. Two A833 4 speeds that now sell used at about $2500 each, a big block K frame minimum $500, Lakewood Scatter shield again min $500 used. Drive shafts are like unobtainium and two posi trac pumkins sitting there at about $1500 each and my rear end housing again at least $500.
  9. LOL Brian !! About right, back in 1979 I could have traded all that stuff for a washing machine at the junk yard. In todays market there's about 10 grand sitting there.
  10. What's this.. a distraction thread ?? !!! Here's one of mine..
  11. "4 footers".. a light walleye chop on Georgian Bay...
  12. Nice stuff Rick, but if I believed the media you shouldn't be eating anything out of Rainy River. What's the truth there?
  13. Dutch the cop showed me the radar gun upside down and said "it doesn't matter it reads the same"! Told me "to pick his daughter up in my father's other car tomorrow". LOL. That was a '76 Fury Sport with a 400, it was only good for about 125. Only dated her for 3 weeks. Johnny was a town cop just sitting at the town limits and I was on the highway in OPP territory. I shut it down and rolled in behind his cruiser. We use to borrow his LTD from time to time and leave the keys in our cars so he could find us to get his cruiser back.. the good old days. Still have the car... in parts right now as I do a full restoration. My '69 Bee, 4 gear with a 2.73:1 rear end in it vs the 3:23 that should be in there as stock. Getting close to paint while I thrash at concours restoration on all the mechanical and interior. Dutch if you've even seen the rallye dash in a '69/70 B Body, the round speedo goes to 150 MPH, then has a 1.5 inch blank spot before you can get the needle back to the 0. That was 181 mph in mine, took about 8 miles to get it there...
  14. Well I tell yah I've been radared at 181 MPH on the highway in my younger days, on Tornado tires from CTC no less (and drove that way many nights).. and it took a few beers to not over steer even with a manual steering box! Good luck to someone with a wallet of cash and a G licence keeping that thing on the pavement at 273! Sounds like a "Gene pool" car, but then again most probably said that about me back in the late 70's/ early 80's as well....
  15. Yep, that's it Mark. Takes up virtually ZERO space in the boat. Sits along the gunnel with my normal telescopic "pickerel" net beside it. ALWAYS in the boat, no matter the species at hand. Also comes in handy when you tag a 40+ inch Lake Trout downrigging as well.
  16. Why I love my folding 'ski net, no matter what I'm fishing for it's always in the boat and only takes 10 seconds to get it out and ready to scoop.
  17. Well don't hire me... but I do know where all the rocks are! LOL Boat prep starts tomorrow..
  18. Some stuff just needs to stay on Facebook !
  19. Weather is so nice on the 14 day forecast that Leah and I will be wheels up in the AM and back to Camp !!!!

Oh.. I'll be back in a week or so and that's next on the slate!

  20. Not sure where some of you go wrong..... 34 years married and my fishing partner (wife) and I are still having fun!
  21. It's funny, Lew, how life's twist and turns can change a mind set overnight. A few weeks before Jen passed I took everything work related to airplane out of my shop, stuffed it all into marine containers and went back to my old cars for a different road for my mind to travel. Change is good and it can be healthy to explore new things or in the case of my cars old things that have been neglected for decades. Enjoy the time and travels with the Mrs ! Be well !
  22. You do know that if you guys that seem to be so frequently hitting Temagami stopped by the dock I'd be more than happy to point out some fishing spots and some of the better crown camping spots further up the lake. I may even let you play on the slide!!! Home after 4 full months on the lake of what we considered deserved RnR.
