Good to see it was a great morning on the ice! I, unfortunately, got stuck in the shop... .... I'll tell yah now though, the guy that arranged that "mission" is gonna kill ya for the pictures! Maybe they all washed down in the last decade! lol We always stopped there on our almost yearly round robin up or down hwy 17 and 11 to Fushimi in Hearst. We'd spend about two days there each year and always had the campsite right beside the "launch" on the lower lake.

It'll all work out Geoff.. it always does. You any good at drilling STRAIGHT holes, forming aluminum, riveting and sealing. Just tell me airplanes or boats! Wanna move.. nah.. I didn't think so.

I came to the conclusion.. after many visits camping with the kids about 15 or so years ago+.. that there's no fish in the lake below the falls, but I've heard that the chain of lakes above is pretty good.

Haven't even had an ATM card since my BMO days at Keele & Wilson in 1980/81 and it was only so I could get cash when I got off the bus after banking hours.. to go to the beer store kitty corner across the intersection, with bus transfer in hand, to go up Keele and home!

You should have stopped at everything you asked for less the interest on the chequing account and you'd be still there... at least if you talk as nice as I do to the ladies at BMO Midland that is! No reason to leave any amounts in chequing anyhow.. when a simple phone call to the assistant manager transfers funds from account to account. .... and sounds like Remo is banking at the Bank of Nova Scotia! Where once a year they ignore what they promised you.

LOL Nick... I go to Frying Pan Island every Sept 24th if I can, but I've never been to Henrys! My best friend died on the back side of the island and I visit once a year if weather allows.

Antonio's in South River - good lasagna and sandwiches. Chinese in Temagami - Helen and Terry's place - don't even have to tell her what I want. Rob Roy's Pub & Restaurant in Smiths Falls - main drag.. right where the bridge starts on west side of street last building heading south ..or Gerbo's right across the street for nice Greasy pizza.. a delicacy for me since the '60's !
