  1. A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Headhunter today !!! ;)

  2. LOL !!!
  3. Just don't be like the two duck hunters in Wab today. One spent an hour in the water and amazingly is still alive!
  4. ... oh I remember some poor bugger on the tractor when his brother bailed on him last year... your day will come again my friend...
  5. Threw 5 gallons of fuel in.. turned the key and the old GMC fired right up...and I went about plowing to the radio playing away and the heat keeping my toes warm!
  6. I guess I am the boat jinx.... sorry I couldn't join in on the laughs this year and had to bail last minute, but it left you guys lots of room in the boat to run for rods it appears!
  7. Laker size baits for some of us are 1/16 ounce jigs at 100 feet! Outside the hut.. mono.. heated hut braid. Like GBW says, it all depends on what you want to use and how you go about your fishing routine.
  8. Works for me... must be that other "border" ! lol
  9. Here's another of the same boat.. posted a year ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jrspiVxxkI&feature=share You should be able to do this to ANY boat sold in Canada since before 2004. The requirement is the same for every pleasure craft manufacture in order to meet TC standards, so I didn't post it for "mine's better than yours". Just to show the hull is only there now for speed and to keep you dry.
  10. All boats sold in Canada with a Transport Canada placard on them are supposed to pass a level floatation test. When fully loaded to capacity... fuel tank full.. all standard and optional equipment in place and the motor(s) installed. Boat is to be fully swamped and left in the water for OVER 18 hours to release any trapped air in the hull, and the boat must float within 10 degrees of level and no part of the boat can be more than 6" below the water when it does.
  11. Jen had an idea.. the goalie should get a bonus when he wins in an out shot game!
  12. Glad we came through there last night with Jen... knew time was of the essence to get home when the temp hit 1C ! 88 to 89.. the Bermuda triangle of Ontario!
  13. I've got lots.. but this one has a special place. My Mother with her first Laker since being a little girl.. taken the day I had to sit her down and tell her my sister was dead.
  14. Oswald didn't do it... I was 20 months old.
  15. What Bigbuck said Bruce... don't let the hurdles get to you! Not the easiest thing to do.. but stay the course and keep the faith.
  16. Thanks for the story link Roy.. Jen enjoyed it and although unfortunate that Gilgan had to sell that property to lose some bad memories and settle up with his ex... it's great that we have such a self made philanthropist such as Peter in our midst in Ontario. Thanks to his generosity Maple Leaf gardens was refurbished into the Ryerson U althletic centre (giving Jen a beautiful new office) with a $15 million dollar gift and I noticed while walking down Gerrard last night, with Jen's take out from Jack Astors, that he's also put his name on a huge centre for research and learning on the corner of Bay and Gerrard, as well as many other financial outpourings. Doing a bit more research... the research and learning centre is part of Sick Kids. Peter Gilgan gave 40 millon dollars towards it's 400 million cost to build and houses 2000 research staff! http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2013/08/26/sick_kids_honours_donor_peter_gilgan_for_40_million_donation.html http://www.sickkids.ca/AboutSickKids/Newsroom/SickKids-towers-over-bay/index.html
  17. 2 more days to go on this full week of 24/7 chemo for Jen. Current plan is for 2 more full weeks of chemo.. on weeks starting Dec 8th and Jan 6th to put her lung spots in check hopefully. Great news today, told that there is nothing new in her Brain / Skull MRI from last Tuesday! The original 4 tumour areas hit with radiation in July are currently deemed as "inactive"!
  18. Thanks Guys... and yah Phil I remember when I looked like the one on the left and it wasn't really that long ago. Seemed to have aged 3 fold in the last 4 or 5 years for some reason! If anyone is interested in the Hope Lives Here book.. and to support the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre, they can be ordered online from the following link.. https://gbcsc.akaraisin.com/common/Store/Store.aspx?seid=7761&mid=27
  19. Maybe read the article first before going off...
  20. "Hope Lives Here" book launch last night, for the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre in Penetanguishene. One of, if not the only, non-government funded support centre in Ontario. The director first had an idea to do a calendar and that quickly became a book of stories and photographs taken by a local professional by the name of Kelly Moss. Jen almost didn't make it, as she's been sick for 3 days but perked up in time to attend and socialize with the sold out crowd. Here's a picture of Jen with her portrait, that Kelly says is her favourite portrait that she's ever taken, and another family shot figuring we were all dressed up and together for a change.
  21. "I've got enough to eat at home" ! lmao I'll say, look at the size of that boy...
  22. I'm sure many .. could say that about Trojans as well !
  23. Here's my old mount on the Glastron...
  24. I'm showing my age.. but our high school had one of the first computers in the Ottawa Valley.. a room full for MUCH less KB than that tablet you have in front of you. Our printer was amazingly slow.. and one day a friend of my older brother came in from IBM to service it. I said "Ron.. can you make this POS go any faster".. and he said sure I'll just pull out this circuit board (10" x about 20")....Store it in a safe place incase someone else comes in for service next time! Printer speed was about triple with the board removed. This engine size issue is nothing new... even the Merc Verada 225/250/275/300's are ALL the same bore/stroke/supercharger. The horsepower is all computer voodoo for timing and fuel injection time.
