  1. Thanks guys... off for the city at 5am....
  2. Betcha Dara could build you a beautiful custom case!
  3. All sorts of things can ruin your day Cliff... but it sounds like you've run the entire gauntlet !! Floor drain... should be there in the utility room and with mine I also have a P trapped pipe for the A/C condensate drain.. HRV condensate drain.. Humidifier drain etc and a future bar sink. If no floor drain, get that tank blow off plumbed out through the wall in case it ever happens again. Another thing to consider... I have all of the above and came home to our, thankfully unfinished, basement flooded from end to end last year. The drain on the humidifier plugged up and that little trickle of water feeding it over a week+ made it out of the utility room and formed about 1/2" of water end to end in the basement ruining a lot of stuff in boxes. The humidifier just happened to be above the one high spot in the floor and while a bit of water made it to the floor drain.. most went under the wall and out into the main room. Once everything was dry... I used Buytlene caulking and sealed the utility room wall to the floor about 1" up and out.. then formed a bead on the floor in the shape of the doors sweep, with an inch or so clearance to the actual door, about 3/4" high. Now if it ever happens again... and it won't of course... the water will stay in the utility room and make it to the floor drain (or at least that's the plan!)
  4. Why I keep saying make them open season everywhere.... the next parasite in every water system!
  5. Nope, just pointing out who the real ones are. Hey Matt.. .what ramp do I meet you at.... the one beside the church? lol
  6. For sure Dan... Looks like I get to fish the Ottawa! ...and we wonder who the real trolls are here in MM's thread.
  7. Remember you need licence.. insurance and helmut. One rider only...
  8. Yah. you and me both my friend... ..threw Howard right off his game.. back slinging beer in Midland on Monday!
  9. Oh.. I can only hope you eat them words. Matt will have a ball...
  10. So Matt.. when they win tonight.. the Sens... does that mean you have to take me out on the Ottawa, or do I have to take you out on Gbay?
  11. Well if anyone is looking for a metal former and welder here on OFC... Looks like we just found one!!!!
  12. Thanks Folks! ..... might even get some ice fishing in this year Ron and hope to hit the island over the holiday.
  13. Oh.. I'd walk on it... no issues there.
  14. Well if I had of got out of the hangar.. I would have texted Terry before setting her down... 3" .. no thanks!
  15. 1/4" x 4' wide x 100 foot long rolls Simon... $775 each + delivery! When I get my water slide done I'll see if I have any left overs from my TWO rolls to share.. Great job Alex... if nobody grabs the spares from you it's their loss, but you'll have material ready for next time if they don't!
  16. That's the good Orr Lake Tape Nip... they put that .... on everything !
  17. He kept putting his head down... so it thought he wanted to play!
  18. Probably reading up on thermals as we speak...
  19. That'll work Nick.. may have to play with the tilt a bit. Find yourself a 8" piece of pipe wrap foam... and just loop the cable around through it.. then it's easily adjustable to get the 'ducer just below the ice edge.
  20. Trip to Sunnybrook yesterday to see the Radiation Oncologist was an absolute waste of time ! ...and that's the GREATEST news we've had in some time... back in 3 months for another MRI and to see him again. Full week of chemo starting Monday next week and another full week in early January, then she gets to coast ....for a long time we can only hope!
  21. Yep.. be GREAT if it's the lights... but like I said how my wife found out she had cataracts thanks to all her lung medication.
  22. Hopefully not.. but glaucoma effects 0.5 % of folks under 50 and cataracts can happen at any age, and night driving being an issue is an early warning sign, as are bright lights coming at you being an issue (Cliff).
  23. The reason throwing it into neutral helped him slow down.. is because the front wheels locked at the touch of the brake and the ABS rotation sensors shut down any braking to the front wheels leaving him with only rears if they were still turning. Pressing some more brake might have worked vs neutral. Any with a GMC.. when both front sensors fail... you'd better be ready to throw it in REVERSE to stop ! (cause the brake pedal will go through the floor!)
