That was what I wrote on their request for PST payment on an airplane I registered, complete with the guys name and phone number that I traded the three boats with 9.9's on them.... they never called me back or sent a follow up request. As I mentioned earlier you have to have all your ducks in a row. They didn't call him either..
Not any different than trading in a vehicle at the car dealer. You pay tax on the difference, but only if it's a single transaction. Why can't you trade even dollar value for even dollar value...
Apparently it's better than drinking the water Rob! Glad it goes right through us.. throws some of that other scare mongering about artificial sweeteners out the window!
"separate the package fairly".. only the seller can legally do that for you. Get new bills from him, or get him on board to what you write before you submit. Also remember barter and trade is still legal in Ontario..
Exactly... but make sure the guy on the other end, that you bought if from, is in the loop as they make calls, and they really love when they get the wife and she tells the real sale value. I can show you the fines and bills for one of those!
What ever bill you have... you are stuck with that. If you didn't get separate invoices for boat, motor and trailer you are outta luck with the Minister of Finance and they will want taxes on what ever you can "prove" that you paid. I advised before to do this boat stuff with an Ontario Corp number and you'd be exempt from taxes (on a pay/claim/refund bases) as a "dealer"...
I can't believe it's your first letter!.. and as lookin said, aren't they getting you at the border when you bring it in or are you stealthing by the customs window?
The slow drivers and worse yet, those that can't control momentum and continuously tap their brakes cause most of the accidents. The ones that tap going up the big long hill south of #9 make my head shake the most...
..for sure Rob and that Limey knows it! I can't stand being downtown Toronto in -6c and a breeze, but am right at home at -30C in Temagami.
Great stuff Simon.. don't be screwing that elbow up so early in the season my friend !
From watching drivers education cars.. .. they go right along with expecting teachers (no disrespect) to teach your kids all of life's little mysteries! Sorry but that's your job!
First thing I taught my kids... slow before the corner.. foot totally OFF the brake before the turn.. and if that doesn't work.. that's what the gas pedal is for! Three kids and they have never been in the ditch and we have a notorious S turn that claims hundreds every winter on the way to our place.
Part 2.. NEVER sit at a stop sign when someone puts their right signal light on..... because they didn't have me train them on winter driving skills. They're gonna smack right into your drivers door. Get moving...and now! That one has paid off many times thank god!
Updraft carb Vance... = the night of having a blanket over the engine cowl and a 900W heater running below the engine. Generally needs about 2 hours minimum to heat soak the engine... but if I know I'm going out the next day I plug it in the night before and it makes me go no matter how cold. Once heated.. unplugging and not flying = condensation inside the motor which isn't good.
Once you're off flying.. I can drop in on the lake somewhere and fish for 5 or 6 hours with a blanket over the engine cowl and it will fire back up with no issues.
Two... one's taken...
I have less in my airplane than most here have in their boats! Don't get to excited.. I built it myself. The others in the yard... I buy and sell.. makes my expenses legit !
