Seriously, I swapped out the exhaust this spring and it appears I have a pretty good heater now and was actually flying bare handed and had my jacket unzipped. The last 18 winters I froze my arse off ... Best not to have too good of a heater.. my old Cessna 182A's heater was so good that I'd take my jacket off and throw it in the back. Not a good place for it when the ground comes up to smite thee.

Shots from today... I don't usually go North and over the trees... but.. 380 foot take off in 18" of snow! Man it looks cold out there... ..and the wind chill having to get out and pull the airplane around with the windmill turning didn't help! Snake Island frozen in.. Sound almost frozen out to the Giants Tomb. Penetang Harbour iced in. Ever see water boil when it's -18! Nottawasaga Bay freezing in... only the 4th time I've seen this since getting my licence in 1989! Maybe someone should have told them multi million dollar solar farms are useless in Canada! Glousteur Pool (or how ever you spell it) and Six Mile frozen in. Rarely see it frozen in front of the Delewana.. or the channel , let alone in December!

A little early for hut rentals anywhere I would think.... but you never know, I saw 4 permanent huts on Georgian Bay today while out scouting ice from the air!

Yah.. it'll pick itself up. Just easier when you keep some power on it during the swap. I learned that way back in '90 when I killed my SC's battery.

Make sure you but a booster pack on it.. before pulling the terminals so it doesn't have to relearn idle settings and more..

Another full week in the books.. she gets an extra 10 days off this round to enjoy the holidays (unlike everyone else in the Sarcoma unit this week that have to be back on the 30th) and has to be back on January 8th for her final week of chemo and a chest CT. Then back to 3 month check ups again....

Exactly Cram... maybe Thursdays as I hate bills on Fridays! .. and I only grab the mail from the site box, that's a mile away, about once a week.. sometimes once every 10 days so it would make no difference to me.

Guess I have nothing to cry about... we've NEVER had door to door in Penetang in the 28 years I've been here! Nice to see the table being leveled.. lol !
