  1. Wow. That's an amazing trip. I don't know if I could ever go there because when you get back home and fish your home waters it would be a joke compared to that.
  2. Wow. Those Ribs look amazing. Being a lover of food and cooking I love this thread. I haven't posted any pics of my meals here but i think I will in the future.
  3. Look for cover and throw a senko. That should get you started.
  4. Used to use chunks of hot dog wieners as bait when I was a kid on Lake Aquataine. Caught quite a few Catfish and the odd Largemouth this way. lol
  5. Congrats Bud. Thats a great accomplishment
  6. Been fishing these waters my entire life. Like previous people have said stick to the channels. Even navionics wont show some of the hidden rocks. When venturing away from the bouys take your time. Just look at other boats and the path that they take. Lots of Pike in the area. Big spoons and inline spinners can be effective. Good Luck in your derby.
  7. Went out today and endured the constant downpour for most of the day. Went to my usual spring spots but couldn't even get a bite. Tried a few different presentations. It's like the fish turned right off today. Water clarity wasn't very good because of all the rain we've had recently. It was still nice to get out.
  8. I'm super pumped for Pike/Walleye opener on a Gbay tomorrow. I just wish the weather would co-operate a little more. I may have to change up my approach due to the rain we are supposed to get. What's your guys thoughts on fishing in the rain? I'm tempted to slow it down and use minnows instead of using lures and going for the reactionary bite. Either way it should be a good day.
  9. If you can wait until May you can fish right there. The pike will be aggressive. Theres a place called Muskys Landing literally the next exit north off of the 400. I have never stayed there but it is right on the water.
  10. Check this out. Can anyone explain this. https://i.imgur.com/qXBv2QX.gifv
  11. Thank you very much for taking the time to help me out Simon. I will give windows movie maker a try on my PC. Much appreciated.
  12. Ice Cabins out of Gilford is run by a guy named Peter. He just refers people to Dave who want parking close by. It is my understanding that Peter is not putting out huts this year due to his health.
  13. I often see some nice video reports that have been edited with music and captions. How are you guys putting together these videos? Is it as simple as using an app on your phone or are you using an editing program on your computer? I have the boys annual fishing trip coming up soon and i would like to put something together when we get back to share with the boys for memories sake. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
  14. I'm heading up to nipissing next weekend. Staying with Bear Creek Cottages (Idle Tyme). I havent stayed with them before but I hear nothing but good things about them. They have cottages, Ice Bungalows and day huts. There have been some pretty good reports coming from his bungalows so far this year. Seems as though the slot size is helping the walleye population.
  15. Beauty Lakers. Love the colours. Great Job!
  16. Rumour has it that there might be a new slot size for walleye on Nipissing for 2017. 16.9 -23.6 inches. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?
  17. Haven't been to that exact area this year but the bass fishing on the whole has been good this year in that general area.
  18. https://www.baytoday.ca/local-news/stakeholders-fear-ice-fishing-will-disappear-on-lake-nipissing-412943 I don't know what i think of this. Do you think they will shut it down? Was going to plan a Nipissing trip this winter but now i am second guessing.
  19. I've been watching "Shameless" not your typical show but very good none the less. Also "Californication" is an older series but i enjoyed watching it.
  20. Think you need to change your privacy settings in Photobucket for that not to happen.
