Hey Guys, I know its super early to think about hard water season but my annual boys getaway ice fishing group is starting to ask me where we're going this year. We've been doing Nipissing for quite a few years now but are thinking about changing it up this year. I'm looking for suggestions on a good place to go this winter. We typically stay on the ice but we are open to a cottage as long as it is in close proximity to fishing grounds. Our target species isn't that important as long as the fishing is decent but we would prefer Walleye, Lakers or Pike. We would like to keep the drive within 5-6 hours of the GTA. If anyone could help us out with a suggestion that would be great. Please feel free to PM me if you dont want to post it here. Thanks so much guys. Cheers

Anyone know if Bass Pro or Cabelas stock these baits?

I have been able to get out a few times since Bass seasoned opened a few weeks ago. Been fishing Georgian Bay and have gotten into some decent fish. Here are a few pics of the bigger bass I have managed to land this year.

Be careful out there. Many rocks and shoals that are barely submerged with the water level being where its at. Look for healthy weeds in 10-15 fow adjacent to shallow bays and you should find some Pike. There's tons of pike in that area. Throw something big and flashy.

Swimbaits, spinners and jerk baits most likely.

Does St. Croix still offer lifetime warranties? Heard it was changed to 5 years?

Hey guys. I'm in the market for a new Baitcasting rod. I'm going to be using it for mainly Pike and Bass and I was looking for some advice on what I should buy. I was thinking that something around 7 foot that is medium/heavy with a fast action would be best. I'm looking to spend in the $100-$200 range. If any of you guys could suggest any rods in this price range that you would highly recommend it would be much appreciated. Thanks

I was out walking my dog the other day when I came across this deceased rabbit. Any idea what animal would have done this? Assuming it was done by an animal.

Wind has always determined what shoreline I am fishing. North or south wind and I'm fishing the east or west shoreline. East or west wind and I'm fishing the north or south shoreline. Lol. This year I finally have a trolling motor so problem solved. I mostly fish a generally shallower area of georgian bay so I know how fast wind can blow it up out there.
