I have one and used it last year for the first time. I love it. Sometimes it can take some fiddling around to get it just right but once you get it balanced it can give you some awesome jigging action. I mainly use mine with a minnow. Like others have said though, make sure your hole doesn't freeze up.

You are probably looking at $100 minimum plus tip for any type of charter and thats for a half day. Sometimes if you find a local you can get a better deal but be careful. If the trip is free then I say splurge and have a good time.

I heard that Little Lake in Barrie is completely covered as of this morning. The ice is only about an inch thick though. Totally unsafe right now but if it holds it might be good by christmas. Please dont take any chances on the ice unless you know for sure.

Those Airplane Jigs look pretty similar to Jiggin Raps. Jiggin Raps are my go to lure on the ice. Big ones tipped with a minnow can be deadly on Walleye under the right conditions.

Not sure if they are even currently making new episodes of that show. Everytime I see it on WFN it seems to be the same couple of episodes. She isn't as experienced as an angler as I thought she would be seeing as who her father is. On a side note, does anyone know where I can find any old episodes of The Red Fisher Show? He sounds like quite the guy and unfortunately im a bit too young to have seen any of his shows while growing up. I search around a little but I was unable to find anything.

There are no ice bungalows that i know of on quinte but there are a few hut operators.

I would also suggest Bay of Quinte if Lakers and Whitefish aren't your focus. Tons of Walleye with 7lb + fish common.
