  1. Did a charter there about 5 years ago. Caught some Mahi Mahi's. We went out with Driftwood Charters.
  2. Its the one I use and it works great
  3. When I ice fish (on safe ice) I enjoy being alone. Even when I do ice fish with buddies they often aren't in talking distance anyways. On the soft water I enjoy fishing with other people. We can cover more water as well.
  4. Great video bud. Looks like a great day.
  5. What do you guys think? Would this work? https://youtu.be/YpKtzumUmmA
  6. Oops just read the last sentence of your report. I guess that Snakehead didn't go back?
  7. Great report. Was that a snakehead in one of the pics? Are they considered invasive down there? What do you do when you catch one?
  8. Well this looks interesting. I can think of a few applications where this might come in handy.
  9. Link to the website http://www.canadianicefishingexpo.com/index.html So much knowledge to be gained from the guys that will be on hand. I will definitely be attending.
  10. Be careful when you dip your toes in the water. LOL http://toronto.ctvnews.ca/richmond-hill-warns-residents-of-possible-alligator-sighting-in-mill-pond-1.3610954
  11. Nice video bud!
  12. On Monday August 21st at approximately 2pm we will be experiencing a solar eclipse. A solar eclipse is when the moon passes between the Earth and the Sun causing an Eclipse. I will be out fishing at this time. I was thinking about this and wondering if this will have any affect on the fishing during the time of the eclipse. On Monday it will be a new Moon phase so this in particular should make it a decent day for fishing but do you guys think that the eclipse will alter this in any way? LOL Maybe I'm just over thinking this but in my head the fish will just be jumping into the boat during the eclipse (joking).
  13. Are you using an O-ring? Using one will extend the life of your worm immensely.
  14. Salt water maybe something to think about. I know I can catch bass here but I can't catch a 7+ pound Largemouth here. That was my original thinking as well. Thanks Garnet I'll definitely look in to this.
  15. Ya it looks like guides are charging $20 a dozen on top of their rates to use shiners. I'll have to look into renting a boat. Maybe that's a better and more inexpensive option.
  16. I'm going to be in Florida over the Christmas holidays, specifically the Orlando area and I really want to do some Bass fishing while I'm there. I've done some research and it seems as though Lake Toho would give me the greatest chance to catch a trophy. I was wondering if any of you have fished for bass in the Orlando area and if so how was your experience? Any recommendations on guides in the area? Any input would be much appreciated as I'm really looking forward to this trip and would love to hook into some giant bass down there. Thanks
  17. Senko fishing wacky rigged can and has become addicting for me. Watching your line twitch or slowly getting pulled away and anticipating the hook set really gets the blood pumping. IMO its more about finding the fish and putting it in front of them fishing this way rather than the colour of the senko. Usually if the bass can see it on the fall they will hit it. With this being said I do try to stay more natural with my colour selection the more clear that the water is and use brighter colours in stained water.
  18. Holy Crap! That place looks awesome.
  19. Nice video dude. You certainly are committed. That homemade popper is pretty cool. Must feel nice getting a fish on your own creation.
  20. wow. Those people are nuts. The fisherman should have slit the gills right in front of him.
  21. wow. Awesome report bud. Looks like you guys had a great week
  22. wow. great video guys!
  23. New season of alone has started. Who's watching? I really like this show. No camera crew. Just a person alone in the elements. This year they have a new format where pairs are dropped off in different locations (10 miles apart) and one of the pair needs to find the other. Then they need to survive as long as they can and longer than the other participants in order to win 500K If you haven't seen it before its a great show IMO. I can't believe the people that have dropped out so fast with that kind of money on the line. But I guess the mental anguish gets to you.
  24. yes never did understand this. Why couldn't they just give you a sticker to put on your card each year for the 2nd and 3rd year of the outdoors card validity.
