    great shots!!
  6. this will be for an lcx-15mt. cram, navionics.com has coverage areas for the different mapping lines. first you need to find out which mapping line your unit will accept. i'm guessing if it's newer it will take the gold & platinum lines

    OUCH

hah.. roy beat me to it. so.. it adds character!
  8. Have an older gps/sonar that apparently is only compatible with Classic maps, not gold, platinum or hotmaps. I've seen the gold on a unit and it looks great, I am wondering how the classic maps compare? level of detail? I've been unable to find any screen caps on the 'net. Can anyone offer insight?
  9. unless you are using large baits, i find using trays of all sizes in a bag - even backpack works best. organize your trays and bring what you will need for the day/trip. if you're shorebound, bag over box for sure.
  10. will there be an OFC baby boom in 9 months?
  11. take it to tightlines in pickering.. for 5-6 bucks you will have a new tip. maybe free if you buy a couple of items. this may be a good opportunity to upgrade too!
  12. ya shoulda learned the first time what happens when you try to go cheap on a rod (guides on bps rod). now you're looking to spend that again, when you could have bought a shimano compre or st. croix premiere for the same amount the first time. just my opinion but, do yourself a favour and do it right the first (second) time. you're still young, hopefully 2x a year means at least 100 more times. some muskie rods double great for slop largemouth fishn too. okuma has a nice line (evx muskie series) of rods, they are about half the cost of the premiere/compre. i have the 8'6" xh rod.. but they come in all the usual lengths, some telescopic. it's decent but the new 8'6 xh premiere i have is a better rod. i've only had the okuma one year so I cant comment on durability.
  13. low & slow
  14. glad to see obama won. however, bob barr in 2012!
  15. i think it's still a bit early.. late nov. for the bay. 14" jake is the plan.
  16. i got this one on thanksgiving trolling a 9" grandma. thought i had weeds. nope.. just a wetsox. i will see if i can find the pic of one JP caught throwing a big bobbie bait in 5' of weedy water. it was a hog too.
  17. yes and no.. the way it's been explained to me: if you try to cross prior to getting your pardon, when US customs connects to your RCMP file and find a criminal record, it will go into the US system. however, if you get your pardon first, when they check the canadian file nothing will be there and US customs will never know of your prior convictions/pardons.
  18. no, you cannot travel to the US with a criminal record. if you need to travel, you can apply for an exemption or apply for a pardon to remove your criminal record.. the latter takes lots of time and some money. a DUI is a criminal record btw. also, if flying out of pearson, you clear US customs & immigration before you even set foot in the airplane.

  20. that's no cougar, that's a manther!
  21. similar thing in my jeep.. was the drl module. unplugged it and all is good. not going to be replaced anytime soon. on the jeeps unplugging it also disables your highbeam indicator on the dash so be aware of that.
  22. the world is a different place than it was 15, 10 even 5 years ago. my concern, as someone born in a country whose people were on a leash by govt, is the erosion of our freedoms. this may be a small little thing but where does it end? it's about personal responsibility.
  23. how heavy is the camera you plan on putting on the tripod? you definately get what you pay for & hebry's is a good place to look. the pod i use is in the $250+ range. you may not need one that expensive, but give us a better idea of how you plan on using it.
