Starting to look a lot like last year when they were winning earlier in the year. They can't expect too many points if they play that way.

Has anyone on here ever been to Roatan, Honduras? My wife and I are going over the Christmas break and was wondering if I should be bringing a rod and reel for some shore fishing. We will be in the west end at Henry Morgan's Hotel.

Definitely bring a telescopic rod and reel for the area you are going. I went snorkelling in that area and the shoreline is loaded with fish. I was kicking myself for not bringing a rod. I did pay a guy named Captain Al to take my wife and I out for some Roosters. Didn't get any but saw a marlin, two sea turtles mating and other fish surfacing. Had one fish on, but it let go. Would have done great if we told him to go for small fish, but we decided to go for the gusto. We went and caught our bait and that was a blast in its self. Catching lady fish that jump 6 feet when you hooked them.

It was Haystack Calhoun when I was a kid. I remember seeing Lord Athel Layton (announcer) fight the Sheik at MLG. I did see Sweet Daddy Siki sing at a local bar in the Finch and Weston rd.area once. LOL Country music and dressed like the King.

Is that paper worth any $$$$$$$. It looks like it's in pretty good shape. Always nice to find things like that.

True fishing fanatics on this site. LOL I use cheapo rods and just replace them if they break. Haven't had to in all the years I have ice fished.

I have listed a few items over the years. Always seem to get some silly inquiries that seem like they are coming from someone at kijiji just to make me feel like people are looking at the item. I don't seem to have much luck selling things. However, my son was selling an old corolla and someone from Brampton wanted it. It was selling for $500 and I told him it wasn't road worthy. The guy shows up and buys it, slaps some plates on it and heads home. My wife told him that all the brakes were gone and that the clutch was shot. Probably best that he not drive it. He's says it will be fine. Calls a half hour later and says he is on the side of the 115 and the car won't move. Wife says there is nothing she can do. It probably cost him another $300 to get it home. I thought it was junk, but my son said someone would buy it. Guess he was right. I try to sell good stuff and no one is interested. Guess I should start selling my garbage. LOL

Someone said to stop spending money. What's the point, we only live once and might as well enjoy it while we still have our health. I don't have a pension plan at work and many of my friends are retiring or talking retirement, so my investment is that I have no debt and a house as an investment (mortgage free) that I can sell if I can't afford to survive in retirement. A friend of mine says that the only thing golden in retirement years is the colour of your piss. I'm travelling now, while I still have my health and don't need high insurance coverage, so that means spending money. I can't take it with me. Might be a weird way to look at things, but for someone that has lived frugally all my life, it's time to enjoy some of it.

I think if I had the option, I would definitely go with some kind of gas, so much cleaner.

Some insurance companies won't insure you if you have a wood or pellet stove.

You don't say what you heat the rest of the house with. Check with your insurance company before installing either wood or pellet.

Almost. Throwing lures off the Port Hope pier for Chinooks. The thing headed for the south side, but I put the pressure on when the line was almost gone and luckily got it to change direction. It was over 30lbs. Sometimes something worse than getting spooled is having a fish that you just can't get a look at, then losing it.

Never seen those Black Betty reels before. They look interesting and a possible purchase. Is there anywhere to buy them in Ontario? Quickme: You're going to love the Titans.

Have you tried disposable latex gloves under the ones you have?

The bolts I use shear off pretty good. LOL

I'm hooked on sushi and even make it myself. I should get my mercury levels checked! I also love East Indian food, whether at one of the restaurants in Peterborough or making it myself. What am I talking about? I love all ethnic foods! Maybe not monkey brains, but most.
