They were doing not bad without Chara for a while. I think they miss Krecji more.

I can usually do this, but as I was changing over to my winter tires/rims and one stupid nut would not come off. I was using an electric impact gun then switched to short breaker bars. I ended up breaking two breaker bars and that was after heating the nut up. Had to buy a longer breaker bar and then I finally got it off. Used a torque wrench to put it back on. I have pulled over to help someone in the past and couldn't even budge the nuts without rolling the whole car. Told her to call for help after that, but made sure she got a hold of someone. I had an 1988 Jeep Comanche pick up years ago and the wheels would actually seize to the drums on the rear. I could actually drive around and they still wouldn't let go. I think every vehicle can be different, but always good to be prepared for the worst. Only had to do it once on the side of the road for myself and had no problem. I'm amazed that it doesn't happen more often.

Looking for Recommendation for RV Campground
jimmer replied to MrSimon's topic in General Discussion
I love Bark Lake, but you should be prepared for some very rough water if there are high winds. Being so big, the fishing can be a challenge at times. -
Don't ever pick a fight with a guy that has a gun in his hand. First two weeks of November was always good for me in the Bancroft area, but I wouldn't go into the back lakes.

Try launching in Port Hope and trolling the shore east of there. Great spring action the last time I tried it. I think I fished it the walleye opener on Quinte.

Always a day to bring back very fond memories of my father and all the others that fought for our freedom. He rarely spoke of military action, but spoke a great deal of the people he met throughout his time in WW2. Lest We Forget!

I watched the ticat game. I wouldn't get too excited about their grey cup chances. Isn't this hockey thread? The Leafs beat up the Senioritas once again! YES

Lake Reedy Cottages Frostproof Florida 1-863-635-2793 I fished this lake a few times when I was down there. Mainly from shore and had some success. There are many lakes around this area that look amazing. I saw this cottage resort beside the public launch ramp and it didn't look too bad. Don't the Martin's have a resort on the Big O?

I would actually want to check the work to make sure everything was done properly. I remember one year bringing in my outboard to be winterized (I usually did it myself). I paid for the work that they said was done (felt I was over charged), which included changing a prop shaft seal. Put it on my boat in the spring and the lower end blew a month later because they didn't put oil in it. I had no way to prove it, but......... Definitely learn to do it yourself, it's easier than you think. Went to another marina to see how much to fix, they quoted $2000, which was more than the motor was worth at the time. I looked around a little and found a lower unit for $250 and replaced the seized (I mean seized LOL) unit myself. I don't want to offend any marine mechanics on here, but I have never had a good experience in this field. Not including all the horror stories that I have heard over the years.

As others have stated, no need to apologize Cliff. We do live in a free country after all. We all have views and different opinions and they can be voiced as long as we are not hurtful to others. The responses to any opinions can only help all of us. My thoughts are with you and your family as you deal with the challenges of life.

The guys that sit up on the bow extension and spear the tuna in open water are crazy. That's one way to cut out the cost of rod, reel, line and bait!
-
Ideally, they are trying to increase the tax base so I can retire with CPP! LOL

It has a head like a steelie. You're a beast!!!! That's an awesome fish.

What's up with Bolland? So many thought the Leafs made a mistake not signing him. 0 points so far.
-
I was okay with their play considering there are a couple of leaf killers on that team. Gionta and Moulson.

He should be sharing after all the advice that was given to him on this thread! LOL Maybe a meet and greet in the bush.

That's a beauty!

I don't think anyone is jumping on bowslayer101. He is always providing content to this and other sites and seems to have big shoulders! Most just don't want him getting in hot water. Those are some great looking fish and I hope he has his own honey hole.

They have signs here in Lindsay, but there are usually dates put on them in the spring.
-
I would heed the advice of BillM. I don't see any exceptions for creeks or rivers in FMZ 15. I think most here don't want to see you in any hot water.

Regs are pretty clear for the dam in coby. You can fish there until the end of November 15th and can't fish there again until the Friday after the second Saturday in May.
-
It's probably a sign for the spring. Dams open after the initial opening of the second Saturday in May and are considered sanctuaries. Probably best to do as Sinker says.

I admire your adventurism! Not sure if that is a word. LOL

Hats off to you Bernie.......I don't know if I could do that, even with feeling the way I do about my job. Sad to me that us older (shhhh) guys near retirement have to think about leaving home to make enough to retire comfortably or find a job period.
