That was tongue and cheek Cliff. And I would love to share a beverage with you at some point. We have met in the past. I bought a fish finder off you and am still using it. I'm not sure there is a solution with this present Government in control.

Wow, I haven't heard that in years. Thanks for bringing back some old memories. I also listened to the version by Sungha Jung. Just a kid, but quite impressive.

I think Tampa is an overrated team that was there for the taking last night. They don't have much if you can keep Stamkos off the board. I have to give it to JVR for coming out like a man on a mission, now he just has to show that every game.

Sounds like bad wiring, like others have said. The cold causes the issue. Always best to start with the wiring. Following DanD advice is the best place to start.

The Leafs could win this one.

That's why I gave you a thumbs up Cliff. You give back because you received. It would be a wonderful world if everyone was willing to help their neighbours. Pay it forward or pay it back.

Well said Cliff!

Thumbs up to you Cliff.

I guess I should have asked my wife of over 30 years then Cliff. Can you buy it (love) in a can????

I'm going south for Christmas.

I bought a portable Generac a few years back and had the house wired so I could plug it in and run the well pump and the other necessities. Our power seemed to always go out, sometimes for extended periods of times in the winter. I live on the west side of Pigeon Lake and our power comes from the Fenelon area. I have never had to use the generator since I bought it. Go figure.

We should all just throw up our hands and surrender to the couch. LOL

I just put the carpet on the seats and storage compartments. The floor is vinyl.

There's always next year!

I wonder how many other people on here can say that Lew (voting against the Libs)? I still can't believe they got a majority! I have always watched my nickel and dimes and had my house paid off by the time I was 50. However, I am very concerned about being able to maintain it once I retire. This provincial Government just thinks we have bottomless pockets; plain and simple.

The Emerald Island Bass Tournament is full every year, with most anglers returning and paying by a set date. I would call the Emerald Island Marina and have your name put on the waiting list if your are interested. $250 entry fee for a two day tournament. There is also the Stoney Lake Tournament the weekend after the Emerald Island one.

I was planning on wrapping the carpet under the edges so wood would not be in contact with aluminium. Marine plywood might be the better bet then? I was planning on using stainless screws. The boat really isn't that old (smokercraft) and it sure looks like pressure treated wood. I wasn't impressed how the bench seats were manufactured. I basically had to rip the wood benches off because they were screwed from underneath prior to the benches being installed into the boat.

Thanks guys!

I pulled all the carpet covered wood out of my boat. Bench seat, storage and live well. Probably have to replace all the wood also. It looks like pressure treated. I was just wonder if anyone has a suggestion for the type of glue to use on the carpet?

This might be insignificant, but is the motor a short or long shaft and is it compatible to your transom. I have a 14' wide body with a walk through floor, but a short transom. I don't think I would put a 30hp 4 stroke on it due to the weight of the motor. I have a 25hp 2 stroke and the water level can get scary when rough, any added weight would make it dangerous.

They were doing not bad without Chara for a while. I think they miss Krecji more.

I can usually do this, but as I was changing over to my winter tires/rims and one stupid nut would not come off. I was using an electric impact gun then switched to short breaker bars. I ended up breaking two breaker bars and that was after heating the nut up. Had to buy a longer breaker bar and then I finally got it off. Used a torque wrench to put it back on. I have pulled over to help someone in the past and couldn't even budge the nuts without rolling the whole car. Told her to call for help after that, but made sure she got a hold of someone. I had an 1988 Jeep Comanche pick up years ago and the wheels would actually seize to the drums on the rear. I could actually drive around and they still wouldn't let go. I think every vehicle can be different, but always good to be prepared for the worst. Only had to do it once on the side of the road for myself and had no problem. I'm amazed that it doesn't happen more often.

Looking for Recommendation for RV Campground
jimmer replied to MrSimon's topic in General Discussion
I love Bark Lake, but you should be prepared for some very rough water if there are high winds. Being so big, the fishing can be a challenge at times. -
Don't ever pick a fight with a guy that has a gun in his hand. First two weeks of November was always good for me in the Bancroft area, but I wouldn't go into the back lakes.

Try launching in Port Hope and trolling the shore east of there. Great spring action the last time I tried it. I think I fished it the walleye opener on Quinte.
