I would think scugog would probably have your best chance for a fish. May not be a monster but you should be able to find some action there. I live just off Rice and finding Muskies in there is tough so it's an easy one to cross off the list.
Sinker is right. It's wire line set up used for long line trolling usually for trout. The wire runs deep in the water eliminating the need for lead core or a down riggers. Impossible to cast with wire line on it but could be converted overed to mono and a stiffer rod for casting if you wanted.
I tryed the braided a few years back but found it froze up and got stiff, so I switched back to the mono. Might be that it was really cold and I didn't give it a chance but I've had great luck with mono over the years so sticking with it.

Fishing has been slow on Rice for the last few days. The ever changing weather seems to be putting the fish off, but soon it will change and the walleye bite will pick up. Thanks for the report.
