  1. Glad you enjoyed that Lew. Nice work Joey and Pamela for making it happen.
  2. Good Luck and I'll be watching for the report when you return.
  3. Congrats on your success. Good luck on your next outing and keep the reports coming.
  4. Your right if you get in with a good bunch of friends and sharing info sure helps the trips go better.
  5. Nice pics Terry. It's tough when it's all over for the year, but with each day passing it gets that much closer.
  6. Both great parks and lakes, you'd do well on either.
  7. Rick I have a buddy living over that way I'll call him tonight and get him to ask around. He's been in the area a while knows quite a few people maybe he can come up with something. PM me with the details on what they need or want in a place and I'll pass it on to him. Mike
  8. Nice stuff vanilla, you sure have been on the fish lately. Congrats
  9. Baby steps guys. Once they get there foot securly set here in Canada then we can push for the cdn mail order prices. Can't really complain now though with out dollars so close together. I'm just glad to see the big stores moving there way up here bringing along with them all the little things we never got to see before on the shelves.
  10. Lucky you Connie, that seems to be your fall fishing haunt. I'm sure it will be a blast and will be watching for the report and hopefully some of those monster pike. Have fun
  11. Great report and pics Chris. Thanks and looks like another fine trip for all.
  12. Great report Connie. Glad to hear you had some fun in the north again. Thanks for the pics. Any plans for the fall yet? I unfortunitly have to miss my 2 weeks in the north this year as I couldn't get the time off when the rest of the group could. So I'll be depending on everyone elses reports from the north to make it thru the fall season and spend my time on the home waters instead. Mike
  13. Looking great TJ. Nice to see things changing for you and your going to have quite the place up there when your all down. Keep us up on the progress. Mike
  14. Congrats on the fish and can't wait to see the pics.
  15. Personally I like them both but perfer the smaller ones that are readily available in the Kawarthas. I have a hard time catching them small enough for my liking in Erie.
  16. Nice fish Congrats. I would never depend on the word of the weather man as there almost always wrong. Best judge is to get up and stick your head outside and make your own decision. Thanks for the report and pics.
  17. Very nice Mike. Another great report, Thanks.
  18. As with any of the Kawartha Lakes this time of the year, try and find the weeds edges and clumps in about 10-14 ft of water and work them hard early and late in the day. You should be able to find some eyes in the lake as they are thru all the lakes in the system. Jigs usually produce the most action for me but some guys have great luck on body baits. Good Luck
  19. I'm with Pete on this one. The owner is working for a set rate and he is making money(usually good money) or would not be in the business. I would tip his mates as they are probably working for minimum wage and working hard most days for it. I would expect that for the money paid for the day the captian or owner should be working hard to put you on fish at every moment. When you have a great day on the water you'll tell a few people, when you have a bad trip with little results or energy put into it you'll tell everyone you see and and bad travels alot faster then good news. Now with all that being said my hat goes off to those in the business. I've have had many tough days on the water and was thinking how it would feel to be a guide and the pressure you guys must feel daily to produce. I personally couldn't do it, I feel bad enough when I take friends out fishing for a day and we can't catch anything.
  20. Great report Frozen-Fire. You caught more fish on your first outing to the lake then I had caught in the last couple years and I live just off the lake. Congrats and thanks for all the great pics and report. Mike
  21. Great report Mike. Lesson learned about the life jacket for me in the small boat now, you where lucky. I'll be wearing mine for sure when in the small boat alone. Thanks for the pics and report. As for being outfished by the kids, I bet you couldn't think of anyone else you'd rather be outfished by.
  22. Great looking pics. Sounds like a great tourney for all.
  23. Great fish and report Shawn. Congrats and Thanks for posting it.
