  1. That was funny right there, JoAnne.
  2. My brother says he knows a guy who says his cousin says his barber on his mother's side caught it on Nippissing a year ago last November.
  3. Joey, the CAD was far above the USD in the early 70s, seeing 1.04 in 1974.
  4. What an ungodly hour! Vehicle is packed, hope to make the park office by 7 am, early reports by the advance troops are good, weather forecast is excellent. Pictures and lies on my return.
  5. Troutslayer is the fishingest, quietest, photo-est dude on the board. Always great to read a report from Troutslayer. BTW, does Chuck have plans to hit Massey Hall in November for His Rustness' concert? I plan to be there.

  7. I can only assume that since this guy seemed pleasant to talk to, he didn't realize that your intention to follow a weedline would take your troll right past his boat. I wonder if he went home and told his wife about this guy that just kept coming at him until they almost crashed. Two boats on the entire lake, etc.
  8. Some cool videos there. I like the second one - dude almost lost a boob.
  9. Good for you, Jen. Congrats on the gortex rainsuit too. You will love it.
  10. I will second Rafal's Pansonic recommendation, I have the FZ8. The image stabilization and 12x optical zoom make a good couple, and the Leica lens is top drawer. I have a 1 GB SD card which holds over 300 7 Mpix photos.
  11. Not such a bad idea, really, when you think about it for a minute.
  12. Dang! Those were huge! Congratulations on beaching those whales, musta been a battle fer sure. WTG.
  13. Thanks for the report, 2Rs. As for the last picture, MEEP MEEP.
  14. I've got the same rod, the Quantum. I've yet to use it for it's intended purpose tho. I'm sure it will be fine.
  15. I luff my 76CSX, with a 2 GB SD memory card, you can load the topo map of Canada on it. I know it's mostly rocks, lakes and trees, but they're all there! The turn by turn directions are flawless, and battery life on two AAs is over 18 hours for me. Never be lost again. The functions you describe are found on many mid and high end receivers. The distinguishing qualities are memory capacity, screen size, colour capability, waterproofness, buoyancy. The 76CSX came out tops imo. The Garmin units are popular enough that it is easy to find a cheap source for the unlocked maps like topo and metroguide. Deano, that's funny right there.
  16. See what happens when 2Rs is around? Heckuva nice guy. Did I mention he is also a great photographer? Just a l'il hint, Garry.
  17. What the hell is wrong with folks who perform a repair and don't check to see if what they did works? Maroons.
  18. Glad to have you back in the land of the living, Thomas. Good news.
  19. Snady, maybe the pups look like this one!
  20. 2RS!! Welcome back, Garry. For those 'new' members, within the last three or four years, Garry was the first semipro photographer who posted regularly here. 2RRs, hope to see some more of your fine work soon.
  21. Sorry about that one, Art, but I think that Polliwog was referring to that bit from Miss Teen USA, and Miss South Carolina attempting to explain a certain phenomenon involving map reading.
  22. Polliwog, that was funny right there. Everywhere like, such as.
  23. Congratulations to you, Clive, and to Gillian too. A joy and a wonder for sure.
