Wow. Little lake is tiny and for the most part pretty shallow. I would of thought high horse power boats would tear it up pretty good.

Props to anybody who's got an eye on his snowblower late August. I'm the idiot who waits till a mid December 16 inch snowfall before trying to extract the snowblower from the back of the garage that is almost guaranteed to not start or function properly.

Nice. Splurged on a 300 yard spool of 80 pound braid to start musky season this year on my c3 6501 and managed a loop/snare on the first day of season so deep I can't make more than a 30ish yard cast yet can't for the life of me get the snag put of the line. Might have to cut the entire spool away for all I know. Enough to drive a man mad.

Nice! Always think of believers as being primarily trolling lures, although I know they work casting too.

Not that it seems to be a consideration but I picked up a 2017 TITAN, non diesel non XD, about a month back. Would've also gone with a Tundra had the dealership had any interest in selling me one. My MPG is horrible compared to the numbers I'm seeing posted here, I'm averaging 17.2 litres per 100 km over the first 3000km on the odometer. Mostly city, some highway and some towing. Hope to see an improvement as the engine breaks in maybe. Otherwise seems decent. Big and reasonably powerful although somehow preferred the throttle response on my old tundra. Haven't managed to run against a hemi yet, imagine it would be pretty comparable off the line. I think I would've been just as happy with a full size 4x4 from any of the other manufacturers though.

Biggest largemouth I've gotten in 3 years, 8lb+ easy

Nice. Big fish for sure and I would have completely assumed you were south of the border if you were catching 5 pounders plus with any regularity. Good for you. Jealous. -
I've got 2 percent battery life on the iPad here, and no volume, so I only kind of saw the first minute but for what is worth, the world needs soft hearted peeps too. I'd never leave a fish to bounce around on the asphalt in front of kids I don't know. A lot of fisherman are just as crazed and belligerent as P3TA folk. I'll come back for the hate and to listen to the video once I got some headphones and battery juice.

I believe the C3's with their lower gearing are generally considered to be more durable than the C4's. I'm on my second C3 6501, in my opinion they make a great budget musky reel, it may not excel at anything but it's reasonably well rounded. You can find a better musky reel for more cash (sky's the limit depending on your budget) but I don't think you could do any better for less.

Electric Motor Canoe Set Ups - What's yours look like?
Weeds replied to Governator's topic in General Discussion
I've got a 14 foot sportspal square stern and while I think it's cool I'd say it paddles quite poorly. I have to admit I am an inexperienced paddler though, I have to keep switching from side to side to get it to track straight. Any kind of semi strong breeze is a real pain in the ass in a sportspal. With a trolling motor it's pretty good though. -
Bunch of nice fish! Haven't had the boat out yet and been blanked from shore but it's a long season, hope to hook into one sooner or later.

What Are Some Good Frog Hunting Locations In WMU82?
Weeds replied to Huck764's topic in General Discussion
In these parts you find loads of them in just about every road side ditch or culvert with a bit of water in it. i would've thought that would be your best bet for catching them as you could kind of chase them down, as opposed to a pond, marsh or bigger body of water where they can just swim away from you. -
Agree with everyone else! Finished lures look incredible, very professional looking.

Sat out musky opener for the first time in close to 10 years, family obligations prevailed so it just wasn't in the cards. Spooling up the C3 as we speak and plan on hitting a few hot spots this evening. Life is good.

I got a few quotes fo my house, traditional shingles averaged close to 7 thousand, metal close to 17 thousand.

Beautiful. I'd never want to leave home.

What did you manage the other carp on? Just curious.
-
Thanks for the link. That's a pretty sweet pop up. I can't recall ever seeing one with set up with a front cargo area like that although perhaps I have and was just oblivious to it.
-
Are trailers built like that as a factory option or is that almost always a custom home job alteration?
-
I don't know if I can help but you should probably mention where home is.

I'm thinking unrealistic looking decoy perhaps?

Rather than just chucking it out I mean. I could swear the edit button has disappeared.

Anybody ever manage to get their money back on this? You'd figure with so many dissatisfied customers and Berkley being a somewhat reputable company it would be worth taking a stab at a refund or exchange, rather than just checking it out.

I realize it would be a great excuse to get rid of the cat. That polydactyl bugger is intent on wrecking every bit of furniture in the house but that's a whole nother story/post.

Last year a pair of robins built a nest on my back deck up against the house just beneath a gazebo canopy kind of thing. Eventually our cat figured out it could get at them by getting on top of the gazebo canopy. The miracle of nature/birth is beautiful and all that but it's also potentially a real hassle, I found it quite stressful and time consuming trying to safeguard these robins and their eggs/young from the cat. Long story short, robins are back and seem determined to rebuild in the exact same spot. Cat seems happy about it. Me not so much. Although I felt heartless about it I knocked down the nest mid build this time, trying to do them a favour really. They are unstoppable. I have no idea if it's the same pair of birds or its just a really sweet piece of real estate but they will instantly rebuild. So I was going to ask how many times will they do this before they find a new spot but it's probably a moot point, buy the time I finish this long winded post they've probably rebuilt and I guess I give up.

And who knows, maybe they work just fine and there's some tiny little thing you are overlooking.
