I aint never hung no pack. I aint never saw no bear in camp either. I store my cooler under the table to keep the lid down about ten feet from my tent. There was a guy killed by a bear at that camp site though. I am glad i was not there at the time. My cousin was and he said it was not pretty. I read some where that those loud air horns will scare a bear away. Anyone know if that is true???

The problems are [1] brake down or water in the gas. [2] Water in the motor freezing. For [1] you could add some gas line antifreeze. For [2] Change your lower unit oil to be sure it is free of water. When you pull the boat out of the water. Tilt your motor up and down to drain the water. Turn the motor over without starting to clear the water from the impeller.

I will be doing my motor a little different. I will drain the gas from the carb. Then i will put some motor oil in the spark plug holes and turn the motor over a few times. I drain all the gas from the tank too. This is easier and cheaper then using Stabil and fogging the motor.

Yes the salmon run sucks. I am not even going to bother fishing for them. The rainbow run may be better. I hear there have been a few caught.

That motor would be ok. Check it over and if it is ok its a steal. Good cond it would be $4500.

After seeing the posts about the smallies in simcoe i would like to give it a try. I would like to launch out of alcona if the launch is free now. Or should i go elsewhere? Any help with a general area to fish would be great cause my boat is real slow. That is why i dont fish simcoe much. I can only run about 5 miles out and feel safe. Thanks for any help.
