The way the skies look there is a chance of lightning every day. I got caught in a storm with the boat on tuesday it was real bad and i couldnt fish after i drove 2 hrs to the lake.

What radios should i get? Crappy tire has ones on sale for $90. What about marine radios? Thanks for any help.

I need a outboard cart with wheels cause i like to put my motor in the basement for the winter. Should i build one or buy one? Where can i buy one? My motor is about 140lbs. Thanks for any help.

Do you have an owners manual for the motor? Follow there instructions to the letter. I just got a new motor and they said to change the engine oil and gear oil after 20hours. I thought 20hours how dirty can it be? Well i pulled the dipstick and the oil looked little dirty. So i drained it and it was real dirty and so was the gear oil. Must have something to do with the brake in of a new motor.

That is not what i wanted to hear. I already have the bait in my freezer. Thanks for the help though.

I heard that VHS may be what is killing the carp in Scugog. The use of affected bait fish may put VHS in other lakes. I want to make some catfish bait and i don't want to transfer the VHS. Does dead bait fish still carry VHS??? What if i salt it or freeze it??? Thanks for any help.

Short shafts are good for car toppers. If you are going to have a trailer i would go for a long shaft. "Is there an advantage to the lower transom in terms of being able to fish over it?" No. Short shafts are cheaper. Long shafts are better.

Go for the Shimano Sahara about $83 at Le Barons. Just got one for my buddy. Ordered online took five days to get here. I have two and i like them better then the Diawa's i have.

I would use two batteries. The one for your fishfinder dosnt work as good if it has less than full charge. Does your outboard charge a battery?

Don't pee over the side or it might be trouble.

If it is a 1" shaft then go to crappy tire and buy the kit it has directions in it. You are short a few parts in your pics.

The big jon with the mounting base that bolts to the boat are nice. They are easy to mount and wont fall off. Just slide in the rigger and lock one screw. For trolling battery i use the portable battery packs the ones for jump starting your car. They are cheaper and come with a charger. They may not last as long but you can buy two for the same as one marine DC. Mine have a small adapter for recharging so i dont need to carry my big battery charger on trips.

I am not sure if that motor has a built in hour meter or not. Coin toss.

I just did a complete gut of my boat. I then put in new foam, main floor, front and rear casting decks with chairs. It took about 30 hrs but the boat is awesome i had it out on monday for a test run. It cost about $800 and i already had the chairs. The new vinyl from homedepot is real nice $250 for glue and 20' piece. I will get pics when i get a chance.
